Posts: 24,216June 2012 The semi final in the 1990 world cup, all the it wasn't the result i would have wanted, it made me proud to be English....And the game against Holland in euro '96 when we won 4-1. Don't think al see a better English performance in my life time, unbelievably good football we played that night, the dutch could not touch us.And the 5-1 win in Germany in Svens first game in charge!

Posts: 2,041June 2012 stuart peirces penalty against spain in euro 96,, remember at the time everyone thinking OH NO! the miss in italia 90 against the germans in semi final was still fresh in everyones mind..but up he stood blasted it and scored!..afterward his face was contorted with rage and passion, that penalty at that moment brought everyone together, then safe hands seaman saves and we win our first and only penalty shootout! hard to remember a finer time to feel english!
