Are England as good as a top Premiership team?

    (1) If the National squad were to train together week in , week out- as club sides do- where do you think they would finish in the Premiership?
    (2) With their training regime as it is, IE once in a while, how would this affect the position?

    good question. its hard to say for sure. i reckon they would be top four but i dont know if they would win the league.

    They would have to beat Man Utd at some stage- imagine the stink Ferguson would kick up, if his players were called up to play against their club! On the other hand, this is a hypothetical exercise, so we can imagine that duplicate players would be available. Two Rooneys...

    Not enough skill and creativity in the England team. Foreign players our simply better so I think they would be a mid table team.

    I suppose so. There would be almost telepathic communication between these two strikers. However, it does mean that Manure will have Rooney, Rooney and Hernandez in an unbeatable 4-3-3. Maybe not...

    In all honesty they would be battling our boys for 6th or 7th if they kept with their current manager. The simple fact that the top teams have players better than england, a few good foreign players in the prem like
