How many of you would invest in Manchester United as a financial investment (other feelings for the club aside)?

I don't think it is a wise investment, don't think any investment in a sports team is a wise investment, especially not one where it takes a lot of inflow of money to keep a place in the top. I am more afraid that they will go bust in a couple of years and the severe consequences it will have on other football clubs.

Get ready for a lot more green and yellow around OT i read this morning that the Glaziers had originally said all monies made from the float was going to pay back a lump off their debt, around 235million is expected for 10% of the club, but now they have said they will only pay 75 million and will take the same for themselves, i can't imagine what the blue union would do with that, think they would spontaneously combust!

But that said they have agreed a 7 year deal with Chrysler (i think) worth upto 210 million for shirt sponsors so i won't be feeling sorry for them any time soon

if they fail to win the league and any other major title for a season or two, it will hit the fan.
