It is now so obvious that ins are largely dictated by outs... Its no wonder Fenebahce or any other club would play hard ball with us over fees... because they know exactly how much we need for the players we want...

Everton want Pienaar for £2.5m up front... Well then, I'll offer em just shy of £2m for Yobo because they'll surely weasel the extra £500k from somewhere else... So then we look at finding £500k... Ahh Timmy is about ready for a move... MLS... you want a 32 year old international who is the top scorer for his country and a reasonably big name... for £1m... nevermind the fact that the MLS took the michael in setting the bar too high for us to make the Landon move permanent...

We really do suck in the transfer market... Money or no money... we don't do ourselves any favours...

WE NEVER OFFERED CAHILL TO ANYBODY. HE REQUESTED THAT WE LISTEN TO OFFERS.

    That implies that you did.

I think timmy wanted to try america anyway and knew him moving would allow us to improve squad. So I think it was quite mutual.

MLS are always looking top internationals to increase interest in their league, I think this is what OGV was suggesting.

"Hello Mr MLS representative. What is that, you want Tim for £1m? You my good man have a deal"

My point is that £1m doesn't sound like they played hard ball...

Mutual benefit though Daive, as murray says it enhances the league in asia now and i am sure a few of us blues will check out how he is getting on on espn etc, may even pick a team to follow once you start watching him and henry in tandem

    Anyone follow a MLS team?

I've tried to pick a team but I'm torn...

Seattle Sounders - because I like Seattle

LA Galaxy - because of the brit connection

NY Red Bulls - now because of Timmy

DC United - because their kits ace

ok my view on transfers for the blues are this ...moyes made a comment about the blues being the peoples club..he now needs too retract that statement too the blues being a selling club...and as for transfer funds its simple maths........if the player is free we will get him as long as he doesnt ask for too much in wages.......cahill going, baines possibly going, also heitinga possibly going, yobo we dont kno whats going on there .......ok thats a possibility of 4 leaving what do we do oh yeah get naismith on a free way too go everton once again youve proved too us supporters ya in it for the money not the welfare of this great historic team
