    why shouldnt it? he's done a good job for us over the last 6 years, and we've got 10mill for him. not as much as i'd have liked but still, considering our financial situation that will have to do.

    make more money? how much more does he want? he was rescued from the football scrapheap and turned into a top class premiership footballer on high wages. he earned a spanish call up, was looked after extremely well by everton during his terrible, long term knee injury and was central to the club's rebuilding plans and he fucks off. I'm not being naiive but I long for the days that a club like everton meant something to footballers and they weren't just chasing the £ signs. footballers are such shallow merceneries

    he didn't play for Spain. He was called up by del Bosque after a number of withdrawals just prior to his knee injury against newcastle a few years back. obviously he was then unable to play, but the fact remains that he did receive a call up!

    Can't argue with that except to say if you were one, you would probably be one too.

    He took a pay cut to paly for Arsenal.

    We could get him back on loan next summer after a wall hitting season with the gunners which ends in Arsenal getting 7th and no European Football.

    Didn't Pienaar leave for CL football

    Make more money? He took a **** pay cut. Why couldn't he take a pay cut to help us bring in new players?

    I also can't believe we only let him go for 10 million, we could have twisted their arm for much more.
