    Get this straight.
    Yobo is 100% _cunt
And now that the word is out that he can be bought for £2 Million, it's quite likely there's been an increase of interest in him - and I wouldn't put it past the said _cunt to stab another club in the back!

This rumour MAY have legs and it would explain why the deal hasn't been concluded!

the turks are playing hard ball like they did last year. He was supposed to leave on a permanent last year only 4 their fannying about until eventually on deadline day they came to a compromise

Them completely getting their way isn't a compromise!

The reports that a price of £2 Million has already been settled on look believable.

getting their own way would have been the offer the made last summer around 2 million or whatever it was but they still had to pay a fee to loan yobo last season plus his wages. We wanted 3.5 last season but now will take 2 or 2.5 due to contract running down but I think the loan for a season is 750k

The facts are that Everton are the ones buggering up any deal here. Yobo and Fener have agreed, there are only one or two things to iron out and its everton that are causing the creases. The whole Yobo calls it off thing is about a gamne of chess mate. As are the Pienaar rumours.

Sell Yobo for whatever reasonable offer we get and then Moyes or Kenwright (Preferably Moyes coz we all know Bill's prone to Bull) should come out and say that's all the out goings for this summer and that we're just looking to bring in a few more senior faces. Give the fans some good news for once. If anyone hasn't noticed  we've lost a lot of big name players in the last few years. Lescott, Arteta, Pienaar, Saha, Bily, Yak, Beckford, Cahill. I know some of them were past it or weren't up to it when we let them go but its another big face missing from the dressing room. Surely now our wage bill has been cut enough! Its the same thing that's going on at Arsenal and their fans are sick of it. We've only filled the odd gap with replacements like Jelavic. I think we need a big name attacking player to replace Cahill, and also just close the Pienaar deal already. That's dragging on longer than the Lescott saga. Most importantly though! Hang on to Baines, Heitinga and Fellaini. Then myself and maybe the other half disgruntled blues can look forward to this season. Just stop shooting ourselves in the foot and having regrets at the end of the season when we've had the best 2nd half of the season than most teams only to come up short yet again.

Beckford a big name? I know you aint seen the bird for a few weeks mate so your head is probably in a tizz a bit, but Beckford? Come on mate........

When you look at the squad we had last September, even if we sell Heitinga we only have one player less than we did then (including the loans we had then)....and with the Heitinga cash (if he goes) along with the Yobo cash, and the Cahill cash we'd get Pienaar and a replacement for Heitinga...giving ius alot more quality than last September with Naismith, Jelavic and gibson all brought in since then.

Plus Barkley and Duffy are a futher year advanced than last year and may play more. And Junior seems to be in Moyes' plans also which is another thing we didn't have last year!

And that's NO loan players in the squad. And we'll probably get one or two loans - we always have one or two loans - the thing about loans is you don't get them really until the end of August. So there's still that avenue.

So overall I'm feeling OK about the squad in terms of it's size. Just, would really like a bit of creativity in the centre of the park and I hope Gibson can improve that part of his game!

Ok maybe not him but he was part of a mad exodus of strikers in the last year and a half.

But, the Yak wasn't doing it anymore, we got good Money for Lescott when we all KNEW that we were keeping the better CB in jags, Saha was gone at the game for us and everyone was happy to see him go, Billy wasnt cutting it and we ended up with Jelly and Gibson out of that money......Cahill's legs have gone at this level, so as much as he has been a legend, will he be misses and Pienaar most likely coming back........Apart from Arteta and we havnt really missed him, not one person on that list we would need for next season mate imo......

Hence I said "I know some of them were past it or weren't up to it"... please read. But my point is that they were first team players and their presence amongst the squad would've been missed. And that will be the case with Cahill more than anyone! Players can have an affect on others around them even if their footballing ability isn't the best. Ever wonder why Neville plays so much bar the fact he's captain?

I'm not convinced paying Cahill 50k a week to sit on the bench just cos he is a good influence on the team is the way forward mate. If they are past it or not upto it, i would not worry about them leaving tbh. By this logic, and from what you have said, we should have kept, Beckford, Saha, Arteta, Yak, Billy cos they are a positive influence on the team, and tbh mate, i'm not sure most of them were.......As for Neville, bar the fact he is captain, its cos he can fit in and around players that are injured, of course his influence is one of the reasons too.

Jelavic, Gibson, Silva, Pienaar most likely coming back, like Beano said Duffy is more developed now, Barkley is no doubt progressing........we arn't not replacing them mate, it is ok to promote from with in, you don't have to always buy players to replace ones that leave :)
