OK, we all know its a business but...

Why do we have to worry about that? If the club are the business, we are the customers. Do we get what we pay for? Is the "product" of satisfactory quality? I mean, if you go to watch a movie, do we have to worry if the cinema can afford to actually show the film? No.

Fact is the club has been mismanaged for years and the business owners seem to have no idea how to correct it. If your favourite shoe shop suddenly stopped selling the shoes you like and started selling cheap flimsy ones that only last a couple of weeks, would you continue to buy from them?

If the club is a business, the players are merely employees then we are just customers. Nothing else. I'm phoning trading standards.

This is an excellent point. Of course there is also the maxim "you get what you pay for", and of course the Mancs, Chelski, the @rse and the RS all charge more than EFC. In fact, it could be argued, that over time Everton fans get more return for their money than most other clubs. Obviously I will be sending these comments to the same trading standards officer. Justice for the 35,000..........

A monkey with one shoe has a better grasp of business than Bill Kenwright. Anyway, like I said, you're the customer, just keep handing your hard earned/scrounged and you're laughing. I would do the job actually, I guarantee I could do better than this lot.

I think i get value for money, 31 quid per ticket ive paid for the wigan and villa, games, it would cost me 50 quid to see a decent gig for an hour and a half, it cost me 30 quid to take my 2 nieces and the missus to the cinema yest, along with drinks and sweets it came to 51 quid and i felt like i'd been bummed hard.

For entertainment and a day out, tell me what you can get for under 31 quid nowadays?? i think a day out at the footy is cheap really, i would happily have paid 35 quid per ticket, and i thnk if your happy paying more then it has to be value for money :).

As with the shoe shop, if you were paying 2 quid for shoes that lasted 2 weeks or paying 52 quid for shoes that lasted a year, what difference is there???

How is it a day out for 31 quid? Its only 90 minutes. 90 minutes is too short to be a day out. Anyway, you miss the point completely.

my point more than anything mate, is i would pay 50 quid(the going rate at one of the arenas) for tickets to a gig that lasts an hour and a half, so 31 quid to watch premiership football has to be value for money??

I haven't said anything about the cost. What I'm saying is, why should we have to worry about the business side of things. People keep talking about it being a business. Now unless you have shares in the club, the business side should not concern you. We are customers. Now I was brought up to believe that the team is playing in a championship, the champions of which win a trophy. Call me a pedant but should the club not be at least trying to do that rather than being absolutely delighted with 7th place? Therefore, as a customer, we have the right to say that, maybe the product is not quite of satisfactory quality. The product being the football played, points earned towards winning that trophy?

Maybe I'm mental, maybe losing, and thats what it is, finishing 7th or 17th, its still losing, is what we are supposed to be happy with.

I dont presume anyones happy mate, i jsut think people are realistic, i think if we generated money that manu do, or chelski and shitteh have rich owners, if this were the case, and we were not challenging for the trophy i could understand, but as we are not in that situtation its difficult to say the product isnt of satisfactory quality if im making sense??
