As I say, I am happy that he is off the wage bill and we have got £10M for someone who is clearly has his best, but Arteta told Moyes that he wanted to leave, this was nothing to do with BK. I am not a supporter or hater of BK, but how come people or having a go at BK when Arteta asked Moyes to leave?

last seaon when fabregas was runoured to go.  Arteta held out from signing his contract, it was only when fabregas stayed for 1 more year that arteta then finally signed.

the fee 1 year ago was 20-25m, and I think moyes would have got it aswell.

1 year on arteta leaves for only 10m and just to take the pi** he accepts a wage cut and is now on 60k a week

and if he suddenly finds his form again this year, that will rub even more salt into the wound

Since when has he took a cut in his wages? And do you really think Arteta is worth more than £10M?

Even if he has took a wage cut, how does that effect us? They can give him £100,000 a week or £1,000 a week as far as I am concerned.

Tickets do shut up mate, we would not have got 20-25mil last season for Arteta from Arsenal.. don't be daft.
As for 11blue, totally agree mate, nothing to do with Kenwright as such. He is an incompetent fool but can't be blamed for Arteta slapping in a last minute request to leave.

    Yes we would have

this was when he had just got back to full fitness.  before he had this poor season just gone.

You are forgetting how good arteta was at the time.  the only reason he went for 10m now was becuase he had such a **** season.

What do you mean who cares about that,

this same player wanted 75k a week to stay with us, the player whose name was chanted and everyone described as a "nice guy"

suddenly takes a pay cut to join arsenal, for a measly 10m no less

Yes, who cares about that? He is no longer an Everton player, and the fact that he wanted such big money makes me happier that he has gone.

So he wants Champions League football, so what is he going to do next when the gunners don't get into it next season...move on again, good player but not loyal at all drop in wages well that has got me puzzled ..As i have said before and most of you will agree....loyalty is the word now none of it left, except for the core of the team..leading examples are Cahill & Neville, will fight the cause to the death, well not that far..play wekk in, week out, no fuss no sulking just honest toil from and the rest of the team are following them, cept them whose heads are easily turned.
He was a nobody when he came here, so now he go like the others oblivion..need i say more think bk people to those who thought the grass was greener on the other side..gone from here and forgotten by their new teams..back the BLUES and get be hind the club, forget the other teams worry about us

    Tickets,
When everyone was pricing our squad on the old forum.
You Said "Arteta is only worth 6-8 million because of his form and age" we sell him for 10 and you dig out paper quotes from last year.

The reason a lot of us are annoyed as there was no effort at all to replace any players yesterday on a permanent contract. How can we be happy when we lose one half-decent striker, a club talisman and a fringe striker (all on permanent contracts) with 2 loanees who are under no obligation to remain here after this season. We all know none of this 15/16 million quid we resurface in January .I do agree that we got a decent deal out of Arsenal ( remember Jeffers lol ) but we didn't replace him or have no plans to. What's gonna happen when these 2 boys go home ? Who's gonna make Baines ,Jags ,Felliani stay ? What sort of message is this giving out. Even Chelsea managed to sign someone at the dead.

I'm sorry but I blame Bill. He's not being truthful about a lot of things and the way a lot of you stick up for this "saint" isn't just misguided but rather pitiful.

I have no grudges on Arteta. I think he is a nice guy and gave us 6 years of his career. Fact is he is 29 and this was his last chance for some Champions League football. Fair play to him. His form has dipped immensely as the following stat shows (from Twitter!):

"Arteta win % in the team last season 31% win% without him in the team 44%"

With the Yak and Arteta off the wage list that gives Moyes around 20m for signings next summer.... if only. My biggest fear is that this is a precursor to a full on clear out next summer. Fellaini, Jags, Baines, Rodwell will all be asking themselves how they can fullfill their ambitions at Goodison. Sad but true.

It was only at the end of last season you were saying we as a club could only expect 6m (TOPS) for Arteta.

I made a thread basically saying we need to cash in on Arteta now whilst he still has some value.  I even quoted anything between 12 - 15 million should be considered.

Mikel has been terrible for our club for way too long and the only reason i quoted the figure above was because of this.  You on the other hand did agree that he has been garbage for a long time but said the fact that he was approaching 30, a value of 6 million would be good enough.

So, where the **** are you getting this 25M from and why are you moaning ?

10 big ones for an extremely inconsistent performer who is approaching 30 is more than decent. ! Similar to something you were saying only a couple of months ago.

He's a moaning idiot that will go against his own word just to be negative. And he has now gone into hiding because he knows that we know he said this FFS.
