Really needs to step up his game now.  Ok, hes still only a youngster himself but a senior player in the squad nonetheless but his performances over the last 12 months have been below par.

Every player need to step up AGAIN. Not just for the way the team is being handled, not for the dreadfull day of transfers, not for the poor performances of late, not even for there own careers, but for the fans who from every direction seem to get hurt from all angles.

Exactly and that year we lost a big player in Rooney. The fans got behind there team and made Goodison Hostile, the players plaed for each other and the fans and look where it got us. SOOOO CLOSE TO CL.

    Why???

Why would they, they put in 110% every season only to see key player leave at the end of every season.

even howard and distin came out and said we needed to bring in more quality players.  they said as much as they could without disrespecting the owner or the club but you could read inbetween the lines.

how do you think they are going to feel to see 2 striker leave and arteta.

well were talking already like denis and drenthe are gonna be flops, they may be really good, how must our defenders who defend like trojans some games only to watch our strikers squander opportunities, maybe denis will cheer them up, maybe he wont, howard disten arent stupid they know the situation financially, you think they expected us to go out and buy top quality players? we may have 2 on loan who knows. time will tell

Tickets i know i agree and the 5 year plan has gone a bit WRONG. I am hoping they will and we need somthing good for the fans. There has not been any for a while now.

Our Striker problem is now as big as our left back problem and with it does not help in giving Moyse help to change a boring 451 formation. With really Victor our best striker at the moment. (can not believe i would ever say that, Where's the bleech?)

They may be but at this time no prem exp will take them time to adjust and Drents looked REALLY REALLY HAPPY TO BE IN LIVERPOOL.

I've said in another thread, but some of moye's history is try before you buy, we loaned Arteta and Pienaar before we eventually bought them, we have an ambitious squad and some new faces will definately be a lift, we may of lost one star, one who has been well entruely under par and another sub standard player for profit, and brought in 2 players who look to be first team players...

And on the topic of Rodwell, maybe with Barkley coming through he may step it up a notch, because Barkley will be pushing for the same spot as Rodders, and maybe just maybe Rodwell is more confident after the cup game last week?

Maybe Arteta going will leave a void for Rodwell & Barkley to step up into.

When he was out last time Pienaar stepped up. Pienaar left and Baines took his game to another level.
