To make things clear i think Mikel has been out of form for the past two seasons and getting £10 million for him is good business.
The problem for me is we have sold Arteta,Yakubu and Beckford and brought in two loan players ...the key word here is LOAN these are not our players so for the people saying we are virtually the same as before the truth is we are two 1st team players down £15 million richer ...but that money will go to the bank.
I think yesterday has shown how much trouble we are in and everything that Moyes has done in building our club up has been started to be dismantled & with no cash to rebuild why should Baines & Jagielka commit to a selling club?

ARGH, THE RECURRING NIGHTMARES HAVE COME BACK! MAKE 'EM STOP, MAKE 'EM STOP! I shudder every time I hear the name Pe...... Pe.......... Pe........ Stuff it, I can't say it! One of the only three reasons I'm grateful to BS Bill is that he got that horrible rat out, but now he's becoming a reincarnation!

Moyes seems to have good history with loan players however i will point out. Arteta, Pienaar... alot of players first came here on loans, and we then didn't pay very high fee's for them, Drenthe's contract is up in the summer so there is every possibility with him able to negotiate with clubs in january that we can convince him to stay at Everton.

We haven't just paid money back to the bank debt either but also cutting back our running costs, which could lead to us maybe closing with a profit? which if we can get back to we can look more attractive to investment aswell.

exaclty loans singings is basically saying 2 stop gaps.

If ths RS did the same thing we did yesterday, we would have all been laughing our heads off, saying what a poor team they have ETC.

Becuase its happeneing here you get stupid reponses lile

"I am overjoyed we have signed drenthe"

"Great news on squralsci"  2 loan singings none the less.

Our strikeforce will now depend heavily on saha (when fit) and the great anichebe, it will probably take the new guy 12 months to get used to the league.

and yesterday also told me that moyes has now given up, that 5 year plan he was on about 2 years ago to build a great team has now truly gone out of the window,

forget about europe, its now about standing still and hoping the teams behind us dont catch us up.

2 seasons to go until moyes contract is up, that when the **** really is going to hit the fan.  even a few seasons at 13/14th and we could be in real trouble financially again.

buyers arent that stupid, that they cant see what is going on.

and your forgetting what if the club doesent make top8 this season, every place down is a 800k loss in revenue.  all its going to take is one bad season and we could be on the brink.

I know what your saying tickets, but i mean in general if we are closing with profits, our debts will be lowering, you can't say if the debts are lowering that it isn't more attractive than if it's mounting up.

And i've never forgotten that each place is an 800k in rev, i was one pointing that out towards the end of the season last year when everyone was saying whats even the point when europe was out of the question

What's all this negative talk for? Think what Blue Bill and Moyes did for us yesterday was exceptional business. Got two of the highest paid players in Evertons history off the pay roll, both who in my mind had there best seasons for us a couple of years ago. We sold a free acquisition for nearly 4 million and brought in a player that Real Madrid paid 14 million for only 4 seasons ago on virtually a free transfer.

We got out of another transfer window with all the vultures hovering with all of our best players still intact. Had we lost Jags, Bainesy, Cahill, Felli or even Rodwell i might be of the same opinion as Tickets but yesterdays business in my opinion was excellent for the future of Everton. 3 Players out saving and netting us approx. 25 mil in transfers and saved wages!!!!

In Moyes and Bill I trust

I agree to an extent with Tiger, yes it was great business but all left way too late. The problem is now that DM will not see a penny of those transfer fees, BK will use them to pay off his overdraft and we will be back were we started. I love DM and love MIkel but I don't blame him for leaving and at this stage I wouldn't blame DM if he walked. Kenright you should be ashamed of yourself, get the club sold and give us some hope of a bright blue future...

what do you mean what has he done? He has failed the manager and the fans, Everton FC should by all purposes and regardless of what happened last night look like a solid investment prospect to any potential investor, even before last nights business we had one of the lowest wage bills in the PL, one of the highest attendance figures and we have spent SFA in the last couple of seasons, we should be financially more attractive, however we are not and for 2 reasons, BK lets his heart rule his head and does not want to quit this club so he does not work anywhere near hard enough to find new investment for fear of losing control of the club, and secondly he concentrates to hard on his other areas of interest which turn him a profit and fails to invest any of that cash within the club, he wants his cake and he wants to eat it also, well he's fat enough so its time to stop eating...

What a load of sh*t*!! It's about stadium/ developement, we can't aford either, so your talking millions before you even talk about investing in the team. I'm sure BK would sell tomorrow to get these back stabbing two faced so called fellow Evertonians off he's back

But how can you say that he doesn't want to sell when he has said over and over again that he wants to sell? And if he wasn't serious about it then why would he bring in Harris to try and sell the club? He obviously wants to sell but Unfortunetly certain things are stopping us from being sold.

By the way, I was talking about the sale of Arteta not about what BK has done in the past mate.

Who Knows.. But just because we don't know doesn't mean we should support a clueless bunch that are currently in charge. People who quit frankly couldn't run a bath let alone a Premier league football team.. Yes it will be tricky to find the right person to come in to run our club , but that should not stop us looking or actively seek change.

Why shouldn't people be happy about the signing of Drenthe? He could prove to be very successful. I am happy that we have got him on loan. I don't think this is being stupid, i just think you are unable to ever say anything positive about Everton. You are the most negative fan ever, try supporting the team for a change!!

For those that think we are not finding any more income and that the board are incompetent in this aspect....
    http://www.footballeconomy.com/content/everton-football-club-company-ltd

We are clearly generating more and more money through improved team on the pitch we have just had to sacrifice too much in terms of wages to make it happen. Now we are reducing the wages we shall hopefully start turning a profit.

Dont understand this whole thing, whats ever happened to supporting your club?!

All this talk, investment.. investment.. investment... its stupid! Bill wants to sell but too the right person! There have been people & consortiums (apologies if spelt wrong) who have been interested but Bill as an everton fan  wants to sell properly! And i dont blame him, so many investments and takeovers have gone wrong!

Another point is, i think its 5 seasons that then the new fifa rules about income and expenditure comes into play which stop clubs like city dominating the market! This is a plus for a club like everton, in my opinion because it gives more clubs a more equal chance!
