Will Moyes leave next?

He said no-one would be leaving unless he said so and if the players were sold today against his wishes then maybe he'll consider leaving.

If he sanctioned the sales then surely he would've had 1 or 2 players he could've bought reasonably cheap and the rest of the money could've went towards paying off the debt.

If we can keep the players fit that we have already then i feel a top 7 finish could be achieved but i'm not very optimistic about it to be honest.

Arteta said he wanted to leave, anyone who tells Moyesie they want to leave are normally out the door within a week.

I thought that earlier and even said to our lass - Moysie's off next. But look at the bigger picture, he knows we're screwed for cash, he took around £15million today for a player who has been an Everton great (Has been, not still is) and a hit and miss striker we got for free 12 months ago, profit of £12million.

We've signed a striker with good potential and Drenthe who for me, is one of the signings of the window. Both young, both for nowt (for now)

As long as somebody can stand in the 6 yard box and stick the ball in the net i think the situation we're in, how can we be unhappy with that?

The players that were sold today never got sold behind his back mate. Moyes wanted to keep Arteta but Arteta went to Moyes and said that he wanted to leave, and we all know that Moyes was not a big Beckford fan.

    Even still, 11blue is right.

Arteta wanted to go, can't go against what a player wants. You watch how good Modric will be this season, Guarantee he won't be sold for the £40million they turned down. He'll be half the player he was last season.

And Beckford is good business. From whatever angle you see it from. Free transfer last year, top scorer and STILL none of us have complete faith in him. To get up to £4million for him is great business.

I agree it's good business, i'm gonna try to be optimistic about the season ahead but Moyes has to put the new signings into the team and not just as subs.

We aren't going down, we aren't going up.

We'll win games, we'll lose games but we'll be in the premiership next season.

I think if Kenwright hasn't got investment by the time we lose these loan signings then it's time to worry.

We don't need to worry right now, but there's still a lot of work to be done to keep this club going.

My only worry is if Moyes leaves. I will actually cry if he goes. I mean, cry!

moyes says he was dismayed at the timing of artetas departure, and dissapointed that he had no time to find a replacement, come on it was hardly the best kept secret, been rumoured for over a week that arsenal would come in for arteta, surely hes sounded him out about the situation, artetas took a pay cut to join arsenal and im sure if moyes had sounded him out arteta would of said he wants to go, had plenty of time to get a few possible names in the hat as replacement if it happened, sounds like being naive and blinkered, and not really bothered or motivated by moyes, thought as a boss you try and cover your bases, he knew like all of us that there was a chance, so dont know why hes complaining about artetas timing, only himself to blame very unproffesional from moyes
