On the face of it not bad business - but what happens at the end of this season and the two loans go elsewhere ? Who goes next year? Felliani? Baines? Rodwell? Barkley?

Think Drenth's contract with Real expires at the end of this seaon...so if he likes it here, and we like him, then I'm sure we can sign him.

If Stracqualursi turns out to be a gem, I hope we can buy him before we start getting out priced by other clubs. I'm sure if he is a success here, he will wan't to stay in Europe.

Daily Mirror are saying that the Drenthe deal was a permanent one. We'll not know the ins and outs until tomorrow.

I still haven't seen confirmation of the Beckford deal.

10 mil aint gonna touch the debt mate. Next window all we will hear is theres no money this no money that, whos next, im betting fellaini, Baines, it'll happen mate, just you see.

That would be different, Baines and Fellaini are good players, I would be really angry if they got sold. The way I see it, Arteta is way past his best, and is way overpaid, and now we have two players in two positions that we needed to strengthen. I do see your point but I am not bothered at all that Arteta has gone.

So we've signed two players on loan... Which means they aren't our players... And let go two of our best. The leading scorer last year and a creative midfielder.

Now help me out here. Who replaces the goals that beck ford scored? And who adds the creativity that Arteta provided? Note carefully that when the two loan players go back at the end of the year, the size of our squad will be seriously small.

And what do you think the likes of Baines and Felli make of what happened today? That were ambitious? That we want to win things?

Today was an appalling day for this club. We've started the season and played terribly in both league games. We've scored one goal and that player has now gone.

    Nothing but the best eh.....

its not so much arteta has gone, and i wish him well and luck, but its the fact that if this was done days ago, ie offer was made 4 days ago, then we could have spent the cash, but it was held on til the last min so they can use the excuse of "it was too late for us to bring anyone in" that really gets under my skin. For far too long this board has treated the fans like idiots, and been far from honest with us.

As I say, I would be annoyed if a very good player was sold, but Arteta used to be a top class player, but he isn't any more.

As far as i'm concerned if a player says he doesn't want to play for us then he can clear off, i wonder will Arteta put more effort in at Arsenal than he has for us lately?
