But if there were a secure way to donate/give the club money that would be used to back Moyes, i would gladly give away what money i could spare to help this club i adore, it wouldn't be much but with the amount of support this club has we the people could make a difference to the people club.

i admire your passion for the blues i really do, think its a great idea..if every everton fan in the land donated £10-20 in a one off payment to the club i should imagine it might help a bit. im no good with maths but lets get a rough amount going here, goodison holds about 42000 it sells out when team does well..plus other blues around the country about 60 000..nope i cant do it..have to wait for one of the brain boxes to come on here an do the maths..great plan though!!

i still vote the board put up 10% of shares at 500 pounds each and theres 500,000 shares to be bought on loan for 5 years with a chance to extend the five years based on how many shares get sold

If the club owes 40million each of the fans would have to donate a grand Spengler, however don't forget that a lot of the fans are kids, and i for one would be reluctant to give blue bill a grand for nowt.

The down side to this, is Bill letting go of control, and I don't mean that in a bad way, but it means he risks a hostile takeover from parties he doesn't trust.  You'd need to be able to prove blue credentials or something.

bill doesnt have to be the sole provider of the 10% percent they should have to put it up bettween them, its not even a investment for them if they get it back and its all newcastle ever did

but if each of the players agreed to donate a weeks wages to the cause that would be less than a grand we would have to contribute..then there is fund raising events we could organise ats well..it is possible..aint it!!

True, but if you'd asked Geordies a year ago today id they liked their chairman or manager...

It would be that huge leap of faith, and I would love Ev erton to be fan owned, but you'd either need the club to make money to spend, or, and I think Barca do this, basically pass a bucket round to fun a new player, and we don't have Barca's level of fanbase, sadly.   Though we have Jelavic, they have Villa, only one of them can walk.

I would love to see a detailed business plan for fan ownership though.

The problem would be with that Scott, if shares trade at 25 quid each for example, i don't think you can must randomly say shares are available for 500 pound each. I'm kind of thinking some people might think that they would be getting ripped off.

If I put in two grand, do I get to own one of the kids?  My chimney is filthy.

The share don't have to be provided by anyone they can be a new share issue, I think the value of shares would be the major problem.

    In a word. No.

But it seems like a good idea in principal.

The shares aren't listed, it's a privately Ltd Co as opposed to a PLC, so they can set the price.  I have a feeling they're over  a grand each as it goes though.

it would be called somthing like a trust share, with it only lasting 5 years and no option to sell it or make money from it people would know what there doing; its not about trying to make money from the club

with it being over five years say 20 000 fans buy one a year a year thats 100,000 shares at 500 pounds each, in a climate 5mil can buy you a 30mil player i'd think we were helping everton a great deal
