yeah, i think if it keeps raining like this and the ground is tacky, i'd be happy to take black caviar on at the prices. wortha punt that she wont like it.

I think the Diamond Jubilee stakes is probably the one race I'd be happy to not have a bet on and just watch that classy mare slam the field!  However, I've already had a bet on it haha, I did Black Caviar and Frankel in a double. Still a rubbish price but ho hum. I think with those two, I'm guaranteed at least two winners at the meeting, which I'd be happy with.

    No mate.

They are both campaigned at different distances, Frankel will i think eventually be winning over 1m 2f where as Black Caviar is a sprinter.

On the numbers though, Black Caviar has a bit to find with Frankel if that puts it in perspective.

I'd love to see them go at it, but like Sambo says, campaigned at different distances which makes it tough. Frankel's a 1-miler, I think BC is a 5-6f runner.... I would have thought though that 7f would be a good compromise but the trainers/owners know best.

Nothing to do with neither will chance it on the basis of reputation , fees etc ?
    Like boxers who avoid eachother

Or is that my cynical side ?

dont think it would matter so much tbh mate cos Black Caviar is a mare and Frankel a horse. (Colt)

Broodmares are not worth anywhere near as much as stallions as they can only have maybe 10 off spring (give or take) where as a stallion could maybe cover 20,30,40 or maybe more mares in a season. At upwards to as much as 100k. So from the reputation side of things, if they were both colts then yes your cynical side would be right, as they arn't, not sure it matters really :)

Black Caviar can run a strong mile.Any distance up to a mile she would kick Frankels brains in.

Haha, good man.... I did think about that one, especially because the jockey/trainer combination seem to have quite a few winners in Ireland..... I'm thinking I'm gonna throw a quid on it, but I fancied Sir Prancealot too.
