    well i wouldnt celebrate england losing would i?..i dont think we are going to win it, but i am going to cheer my country on while we are in it..i mean lets be fair we all know damn well everton aint gonna win the league next season but were all gonna cheer them on aint we?

    Think that would be all fans Andy in all fairness.

    Next season if we lose the opening game against Southampton, everyone will be calling for the head of Moyes, blaming the board, the grounds crap etc.

    Then if we beat Man Utd the week after we will be brilliant, give Moyes a pay rise, Bill is great, lets keep Goodison its got history etc etc.

    I dont speak to many if any German/Dutch/Italian/Spanish fans, but if the reports are to believed, the media jump on the national team just like our media do. Great when they are winning, crap when they are losing.

    Its just people mentality in general imo like.

    Was i pleased we won last night? Of course, i'm British/English. 

    Will we win the euro's? hahahahahaha. NO. But al still enjoy the ups and downs of the journey. Cos that's what being a football fan is all about!

    For some reason and I don't know why it seems as though it's wrong to support England.

    I've seen this on a few sites now and in general everyday conversations.


    England concede or lose there's loads of laughing and gloating in the fact.

    Ireland lose , nothing

    Other nations lose , nothing


    I'm sure I'll get the old it's England's arrogance blah blah.

    Don't think I've ever met an England fan who thinks we'd win anything.

    Same here mate. Its like its some sort of dirty secret you would think that people are trying to keep from people.

    Where was i born? York. Kind of makes me British/English.

    If world war 3 broke out and people were enscripted into the army, would i get a call from France/Germany/Croatia/Brazil/Nigeria/Thailand etc to go and fight for them.

    No. I would get a call from the English government, cos that's what i am. I'm not saying people should/should not support England, Its your choice you want to support the national team or not. But when people start saying daft stuff like i'm a Croatia fan this tournament, im supporting Spain cos i think they will win it (i dont like the spanish btw, mis treat over there when ive been) i just dont get it. Cos if they declared war on us tomorrow none of these people would be going off to Spain to up arms and fight the English. 

    Ii'm English, and proud to be so, if i wasn't. i would learn another language and go live in south east asia.
