getting rid of BECKFORD WAS A MISTAKE

    he wasnt really given a chance but still got 10 goals in his 1st premiership season,his wages wouldnt of been much and in my opinion he would of got more this season given the chance.And who we gonna get for 4mill thats gonna score 10+ goals for very little wages?

    Agree, thought he was one of our better players last season considering how many games he was a sub in.

    i think Beckford is ok, but he is not irreplaceable imo. his touch is horrific!

    i agree....like I said, donkey and sicknote as our 1st choice ........ pretty rough if you ask me.

    If Beckford and Yak go, who does that leave us with up-front? Saha (cant stay fit), Anichebe (cant score goals), Baxter (unproven), Argentinian (never heard of him before).

    We struggle to find goals as it is, and then we go and lose another potential 10 goals?

    we did ok 3 seasons back without a recognised striker mate, i think we will be ok :)

    Plenty of other strikers in the sea, Beckford was a gamble. whether there's enough time to sign is another matter.
