Went to Liege in '98 for mini tournament there and it was a very strange eye opener, well I had spent 5 years in Germany at the time, and as above head straight for the German boarder.
Koblenz is a great little town, sitting on the Rhine and Mosell rivers.

The trip I'm doing (with Mum as well haha), or looking to do is £229 each for four nights, includes bed, breakfast and dinner, coach travel throughout, evening entertainment, visiting Bruges, Ypres and Veurne Market, as well as Ostend where we're staying. Never been to Belgium before so will be interesting to do and at that price, I definitely think it's worth doing. I would love to do Germany some time though. I'm just looking for a short break which won't break the bank. I was going to do the Amsterdam one I did a couple of years ago again, but you basically only got three hours in Amsterdam, which is great if you just want a bit of a taster but I do wish we could have had a whole day at least there. Was impressed with what I did see there.

Germany...is fab. Went a few years ago on the Rhine (Works do... I was a Area manager for BWS at the time)  I found the people to be very polite and courteous, as long as you don't mention "The War"

Cancel Belgium mate lol and go to Germany with some mates (not yer ma) lol

PS BWS Beer Wines & Spirits lol

Yep, knew what BWS was, there's loads of 'em in Oz haha. I'd love to do a lads holiday somewhere but none of the f***ers are interested! I'm away with a mate a year in December, mind.....

Because I'm not looking to go to a footy match, unless it was somewhere in America or Australia ;)

Just looking to get away and chill for a few days really.

Been to Brussels and Brugge. Best thing about the place is the amount of unusual beers. Oh and the Chocolate. The people aren't the frendliest in the main. Brugge is nice on the eye but it only takes 10 minutes to see it all. It's tiny. A bit boring like. Ask Colin Farrell. He'll tell ya!

I worked in Brussels for a year & absolutely loved it. My Mum loved Bruges so I'm sure yours will too. It's most famous for it's lace & very quaint.

And yes great chips with mayonnaise & chocolate heaven.

    Have a great trip!

Good to see some varying opinions on this one! I guess I'll find out myself soon enough. I've been having a bit of a look at the places we should be visiting, it looks a bit like Holland in terms of the architecture and canals (obviously!)
