    if he leaves and yak gone aswell we are in the crap as if he was goin to sell him should a done it a while ago so could a bought someone to replace him...seems like peanut story again he wont go for 10-12m but will leave later for 2m and moyes wont get a penny wont be happy if he leaves

    if he want to leave then getting rid is fine. Barkley and Drenthe will make us better than we were with an underperforming Arteta as a regular. Baines back on pens is good news for my dream team!! (if we get another)

    I was firstly annoyed that we wasnt involved in rumours this morning then got excited when we were linked to the couple of players. Now i wish we were quite. . . . Seriously, i cant see were the creativness will come from without arteta, this is shocking. I dont blame him for wanting better football but why wasnt this done weeks ago so we could bring in replacements. Gutted.

    Billy will be better taking over Arteta's position, at least I hope Moyes gives him a chance to shine now in the middle! Also we have Barkley and Felli , and don't forget about Ossy.

    Arteta's wages were nearly equal to out 5 million loss each year.

    Better of without him. Thanks for playing well for us over the years, now move along :)

    can't really blame the club for selling if arteta is forcing the issue, looks like arteta revived the deal with his agent. just hope we get a few extra million for him

    I wish him luck, he was good for us, but I don't think he would be good for us this season. Hope the Arsenal move helps him get back in form so he finnaly gets his cap! I'm just annoyed that sky are sensationalising the deal and saying its a huge blow for us! -Boll*x

    Can we have some reality on here Arteta simply has not been the same player since THAT injury, anyone who actually goes to the game knows that so £10 million for a 29 yr old who has given us 6 years solid service and who we signed for £2 million is surely just good business? Osman was a revelation last season so come on guys lets just back the club!!!
