Apparently he asked to be sold once he heard of Arsenals interest... If so bye bye Mikky, don't let the door hit you on the way out. BETTER GET SOMEONE DECENT IN

in an hour and a half?

    no chance

I agree. Too little too late.

I'd hope we've been working on contingencies in case someone went. (and i don't mean the players we've heard about today already)

It was so obvious this was going to happen.

5pm - In Negotiations (Gives Everton 6 hours to find a replacement)
    7pm - Arsenal pull out
9pm - Arsenal back in for Arteta

Now the board can tell Moyes to say we just didn't have time to find a replacement as the deal went through so late, the money will be spent in January bla bla bla, but will mysteriously disappear between now and then, with us spending about £2m and giving it the same we've no money to spend this time next year.

Think some people are living in the past - i think this is good business for us.

he hasn't looked the same since his injury and also more importantly it menas that Bainsey will become our main set piece taker meaning that a corner may actually get passed the frst defender.

Plus he wants to go so get rid, he was a good signing for us and we're getting good dough for him.

Did you not read Bills interview with the groups?

Its not a good deal for us its a good deal for the bank

As I said earlier I'd rather be skint with him in the side than still skint without him

Some people aren't living in the present either....

Yawn....yes I did read his interview thanks....so if it means that we have an extra £10m to go to the bak then GOOD!! It has to get paid anyway lol

The lad can't cross a ball fact. He has been the same palyer for nearly 2 years - Great bit of business for us. Plenty of talent in midfield to compensate - Hopefully we'll see a lot more of Leon Osman in a creative role.

Would be fumin though if he ends up on less than the FAT contract he ransomed us to last year once he realized arsenal weren't selling fabregas and decided to stay with us instead

They way they been playing, they are more of a championship club, not champions league club.....

But hey, he has been crap for a long time now....not just set pieces, but creative play too.

When he goes, we have made good ready's for him.

Lets see our best creative mid-fielder for last season (Osman) step up to the mark, and hopefully get that Drenthe in....
