    spoke with my friend who is an arsenal fan. he believed arsenal had bid 9m and would have gone to 10m. doesnt know why the deal has broken down all he said was "something is up" . 

    Im gutted i wanted him off the wage bill , he just hasnt been the same since his injury.

    This arteta stuff was all a ploy imo. We get to the end of the window with maybe one player in and yak and becks out and the majority of people happy that we've kept arteta. Just my opinion like.

    I'm glad to see Mikel staying. If he stays fit and gets some confidence then the Arteta we know and love will return

    one report said, a deal between the 2 clubs was agreed, but it fell through.....possible reasons being:
    1. arteta couldn't agree personal terms (he has a great deal at Everton, and arsenal are pretty tight with their contracts)
    2. arteta may have failed a medical (would surprise me either, he hasn't looked right since he returned from injury last year).

    all speculation ofcourse.
