    hmmm thought they couldnt name victim as they have done, its suprising tho that police still didnt know of previous false allegations made by victim, not saying its false allegation but sounds dodgy , i respect victims anominity but surely police knew or is it a case of not revealing it to get a conviction?

    I think it is illigal to name the victim which is why I haven't.

    Maybe its a case of not telling the jury about previous offences in case of prejudice.... but he has raise them on appeal if his silks feel they are relevant.

    In which case you'd imagine he'll get off and the PFA wouldn't look so bad.

    from the gossip i've heard it was a typical footballers **** up..pull a girl (they actually pulled a couple of girls apparently) they went their seperate ways he was on his own and went back after being asked to get back to the hotel by the lads...the rest is history....

    by footballer I mean ..they think they're a law unto themselves.. you wouldn't believe the arrogance of some of them...some of the kids on £2k a week and they think they've made it big time stroll around the town like they own it...arrogant little sh 1ts...

    he's from penistone and know people who know him really well

    also "kinda knew him at their academy"..worked with his age group for a coupla years with me old mate xxxxxxx wont mention any names Tone gets jealous......

    dont get me wrong not condoning him if he's guilty...but seems a bit against the grain apparently...who knows..??
