I returned to work today, after a bout of gastroenteritis which started on Saturday morning. When it came to the game I was so weak I could hardly raise a cheer, let alone my normal screeching when Everton play. At the end I felt so depressed. Especially seeing those sad, sad faces on my telly. I felt for you all, having been there in 2009. And I was angry too. How can a team come out winning 1-0 play like that. Unbelievable. Still can't believe it. There for the taking and we just didn't have that killer instinct. Carragher summed it up when he said that he couldn't have lived with himself if they'd lost. THAT right there is what we need.

Anyway - 2 Reds in the office. Both came to me & said how lucky they were & how **** their team is. Hats off, because at the end of the day that's the story of the semi-final.

But what I really wanted to say (which I know y'all won't like) is - my two Red colleagues (I refuse to call them RS for reasons I will mention below) asked me who I will support in the Final. My immediate reaction was to think 'well not you lot!' but do I really want to support a team whose supporters didn't even have the class or manners to keep their gobs shut in respect of people who died following the game the love, just as much as we do. How must the families of those killed have felt.

At the end of the day we are all passionate supporters of our clubs. We may never see eye to eye on all things football, but we are all human beings, and as such we need to treat each other with respect. There is no other way. Well yes there is, but then we will be yobs. And I don't think Evertonians are yobs. Far from it. I think we are the most respected fans in the PL, and rightly so.

So - we are all scousers (even me, born in KirKby). Do we support Chelsea in the Cup Final? Are we that bitter? Think about it. Yes there will always be competition, but do we need to have the hatred?

We live (or were born) in one of the greatest cities - and football, as they say, is only a game. The players all socialize with each other - as do the Managers - so who is looking a bit silly.

    Just a thought.......

Oh & P.S. I HATE bad spelling. Henceforth known as the Spelling Witch of Oz

& PPS. Don't tell me I know nothing about football. The past is the past, let's move on & be the bigger team (which we are). Let them rant. We need to do our talking on the pitch, not before. Actions speak louder than words.

    But leave the hatred behind.

To be honest, I dont care who wins the cup now as we are not in it anymore. Its not llike I dont care about the league either because we are not going to win that for at least a few more years, but I wont be "supporting" either team as i'm an Everton supporter not a supporter of whoever is in the final of the cup if its not Everton then I dont care pretty much. Its not like i wont watch the game as i am a supporter of football but if either team scores i wont cheer when one team loses i wont be upset that they lost. I have family who follow the other team in Merseyside but I wont go up to them and say that im glad they lost if they lose but if they lose and they played well i will say that they played well and were unlucky. But to finish off as I said I wont support either side I know some might say wouldnt you want the cup to be in Liverpool? well no not really its not in Evertons trophy cabinet so it doesnt matter to me if its in Liverpool, London, Manchester or Leeds or anywhere else for that matter if its not in Goodison park L4 4EL I couldnt care less.

Well I'm a gal & you know we can't say anything in one sentence that we can say in 10. But you still said the word 'hate' & I move to remove that word from our vocabulary. I didn't say I would support Chelsea (I don't care either way) but I won't be so bitter as to hope they win..... That's all. May the best team win (without the aid of the referee).

I can't stand Liverpool...I hate the players and I have yet to find a fan I could tolerate! I can't stand Chelsea either!
I frankly don't care who wins! If the ground opens up and swallows them both I would be extremely happy!

Nice. After 3 seasons of being a Blue you learned that..?.. Oh dear...... Maybe you need to broaden your horizons.......or are you just trying to impress the guys on here? I don't give a **** who wins either, so you obviously missed my point. But I certainly won't be hoping that Chelsea do, just because they beat us. And definitely not after witnessing that disgrace on Sunday. I won't be watching (too late) but if I could I would. Because I love a good game of competitive football (which we didn't see on Saturday). By the way I've been a supporter since I was a teenager. Fair few years ago. We lost . Life goes on. And whoever wins it will have deserved it one way or the other. We didn't step up. Fact. And I'm quite sure there are plenty on here who know decent Red supporters (some of them wives or family members). So think before you speak.
