They dont have to be the best, but your favourite's!

    1) Frank Bruno.....how could you not love Frank??
    2) Mike Tyson.....pre 1990 Iron Mike, not the one who couldn't be arsed when he came out of jail.
    3) Floyd Mayweather, because he is just technically amazing to watch.
4)Chris Eubank, attitude, heart and the boxing skills to go with it.
5)Split Between Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe on this one, just cos i loved watching them both!

There's more, but, there are a few that were just a little before my time, so i have kept to people i was brought up watching.

Interesting you leave Ali out bill

Not because I think you're wrong or he was the best but rather that alot of older boxing fans I speak to never put him in their fave list.

    Yet he always wins polls.

Makes you wonder if genuine boxing fans are voting or the jump on the bandwagon brigade

-----------------Ali was the master of beating his opponents by getting in their head whether it be rope-a-dope or any of his tactics. He was a great boxer but talent wise not one of the best although phycology wise obsolutely #1. Mayweather and George Foreman are also up there. For heart and class Smokin Joe was the best

You're right of course. There are many worthy candidates. I remember Friday night fights. My dad was a professional who refused to teach me or let me get involved because of the dark side of boxing. In order to get matches you had to sell your soul or have a manager who did the dirty work

I watched ali from the olympics on and he was definitely by far the best heavy ,really don't know how anyone who seen can deny it just think of the foreman fights  but yes he did get inside their heads but so did others

    So for me

    Ali

    Sugar ray

    Barry Maguigan

    Eubanks

    Hagler

I put Barry in for the Irish Evertonians because there is no border
