Long story short.  I'm a Croatian American from Los Angeles and have been following soccer my entire life, heck it put me through college on a scholarship.

So to the point, we Croatians love sports and with such a small country we tend to follow our countrymen as they progress.  So when Jelivic signed with Everton, which I really didn't know much about at the time, I simply said good for him, I hope he scores them some goals.  Well he's come on and made a few goals, but I also saw something much much more, I saw EVERTON, and after recording and watching all the games, the player interviews, the Moyes interviews, I said WOW.  What professionals, what heart, talent, desire, no per-madonnas, just hard working footballers that play with heart and love of the game.

The draw on Saturday, I was fricken pulling my hear out, then on Monday, the games was 11:30 AM my time and with Jelavic and several of the other lads sitting out I was like lets see what spark this club has.  They scored 4 goals, 4 GOALS TO ZERO, I was like holy smokes.  I Tivoed the game and raced home to watch it after work, I almost got nabbed by the highway patrol for speeding, and what a GAME.

So Saturday, we've got Liverpool.  The game starts at 4:30 AM my time in L.A., and just to let you lads know, I'll be up watching.  I might have to pull an all nighter and call my Argentine friends over and party til the sun comes up.

So from your newest Everton Fan.

    GO COYS

Its a good time to find Everton.......enjoy!

Seeing as you're from LA, I'm still a bit of a Heath Kirchart fan... although retiring was the sensible thing for him to do.

Watch the penalties from the FA cup semi final against Man United on You Tube.. If you get a tingel in your arm every time you watch, as I have over 100 times, then you know you're blue. I moved from Canada 16 years ago. Every year when I was growing up my uncle would send me an everton kit or a bag or something blue. You never really understand it, until you sit in the lower bullens on a cold night. My kids are 10 and 6 and they have fought off the urge to be RS or UTD fans and its times like this when they really feel part of something special. A bunch of proper working class people who are honest. COYB
