Top 6 or Cup final

To get into Europe next year a top 6 place will be good enough (not sure it 7th will make it) but Newcastle have a big lead over us. Also a Cup final against Tottenham (if the hold on to 4th) will get us there. Obviously winning the cup will do it as well.

What an achievement qualifying for Europe will be and the much needed revenue it will create.

What started of as a terrible season has turned around nicely. The problem with this season versus the others is that I strongly believe we were tactically wrong for large parts of the first half of the season. We have now improved massively with the exception of throwing the Derby which again I didn't feel was necessary but don't want to open up that debate eventhough that is their only win they have had in the league in the last 2 months.

Gibson and Jelavic look to have been great signings especially Gibson who was superb on Saturday with his range of passing and switching play to open up their defense. Pienaar has looked as good as he was when he left us so lets hope he will re-sign with us.

Kenwright has to get some credit as we are the highest of the low spenders although I hope he continues to stay away from the publicity because I don't believe he is competent to sell the club and winds the supporters up with his "I am Everton's biggest fan" "I am the best person to sell the club" statements.

I dont think it is the players that start slowly but Davie Moyes. Maybe he starts the season with the goal of avoiding the drop rather than targeting a top 4 finish and by the time we are looking save it is too late?
