Since moving into center of defense, Johnny looks like a different player and the defense looks solid. I know its his natural position but since jags injury we look far more formidable and composed at the back..I suppose the only question is who starts with him ?. Great work Johnny my Everton player of the year by a mile.

I think he's been solid all season and unlike Heitinga he's played well all season. Heitinga did play well again today, as did Jagielka.

You know what, I'm just gonna vote for the player who scores the winner against either Tottenham or Chelsea in the FA Cup final

    Distin has played wellall season.

But Jonny has excelled and has brought stability to the team that was lacking earlier in the season.

His leadership wins it for me.

For me fellaini has been the star man this season. Does all the dirty work breaking up opposition attacks etc, controlling midfield.

Heitinga is just playing to level you should expect from a Dutch international and it's taken time. He still looks prone to mistakes to me but good improvement since becoming centre back, distin for me has been equal if not better but my vote has to go with baines so far different level to most of the team every week.

heitenga is at this moment to me the most compossed CB in the prem and with disten they are the best pairing around , look at the top 4 man utd playing evans a lot and hes not close, man city would love these at CB atm, arsenal well lol to there defence, then you got that chelsea, to me atm johnny and disten would walk into any prem team at this time.

I agree about Heitinga being compossed, as he is very good with the ball at his feet and he makes defending look easy at times.

Distin, then Felliani, then Baines & Heittinga for me..
Distin is Heittinga's equal but was doing it all season, like Dan says.
Fellaini was like Heittinga in that he has played two postions but has been great all season in both of them and Baines is well Baines.. immense.
