    Am thinking of getting one.....

    Are they any good?

    Do you like yours?

    Are they a bit gay?

    Which one would you recommend?

    8, 16 or 32?

Or would you suggest sacking off an iphone and getting something else instead?

Answer any of these questions you like or make up other iphone related questions that you have an answer to. Yes, I realise this makes for a dull thread but lets be fair there are a few of those about and at least this one has a practical purpose.

    I had one.

It got water damaged and when i went into the 02 shop to see what they could do, they basically threw the phone at me and told me there was nothing they were willing to do.

3 months of sending the phone back and forth and being passed from pillar to post i rang and spoke to the area manager. With in a week they sent me a new one. To save the hastle of it happening again i sold it and have not and will not be bothered with one ever again.

TC, i mean this in all seriousness, it must have literally got a drop of rain in where the earphones go, and it just went 'pop' no sound out of it was ever to be heard again......

That sounds a bit like a freak accident..... although I'm sure it must have been annoying in the shop.

Don't you just their their names now, find them on social media and email them a clip of you boxing and a short message about coming back into the shop?

Thus far only two replies and both of them negative.....I was thinking of getting a deal on a 3GS 8GB... aside from an ipod I've not bothered with the ipad or iphones to date so it will be a big change in any case without going the whole hog on the latest model.....maybe I'll think again.

Has anyone got anything good to say about them?

They are a great phone and TBH i would wait till november to get one as traditionally Apple release new products in September. With a new phone VERY likly to come out this year the price for the 4 and 4s will drop.

You could look to get a 3gs as they are around £100 and should not drop too much. This would get you used to the phone and the way the apple products work. They do have the tendacy to take over your life and you have to back it up once a week minimum.

This does lead to the inability to remembers peoples numbers and email but hey modern life.

I would ten to go for the cheaper version (i.e. Smaller memory) unless you want to use it as an ipod or watch movies / tv video clips from it.

Good advice.....I don't intend to use it for much other than phone and a bit of internet....no streaming video, youtube or the like...and while I might listern to a bit of music on it 8gb will be more than enough I'd imagine.

think the 3gs is the one for me to try at first as I'm not going to wait until november, and don't want one of the all signing and dancing upo to date models.... this will be change enough for me as it is!

i've got an iphone 16 gbt (or whatever) beleive it or not it's my first ever mobile phone as i wouldn't have one..

to be honest it's been great..plays music and dvd's 16 is enough for me..can access the t'internet no probs..have got a cover on it so that when i drop it (which i do ) it just bounces...have lost it twice and located it again...dead easy to text even for me never having done it before...although i've had that predictive text taken off..

i do use facetime coz it's better than just foning...

    cant fault it

the 16 is the amount of space its got on it.....can you see how much of the 16GB you have used on your phone?

I'm thinking of just getting one with 8GB....and the 3gs.....I'd imagine yours is the 4 if its 16GB unless you've had it a good while. in which case it might be the 3gs

Back it up to Itunes or Itunes cloud. all you music (purchased throught Itunes), contacts, calendar meeting etc are backed up. If the phone breaks or you lose it you can then get a new phone and then restore the latest info on to the new phone.

The easiest way is to connect it to your PC (lappy or Desktop)

Open Itunes and then in the left window click on the hone and the top of the page select OVERVIEW.

This should then show you near the bottom of the page the total space and breakdown of.
