might not be banging them in, but his movement and passing is staring to look like the Cahill we used to know, just think the partnership with saha had got a bit stale, with home felli and gibbo we have 3 quality players who can feed jelavic excellently, as well as getting goals for themselves, add pienar, drenthe, ozzie (when he's not on his ****) and now gauye and we have a quality midfield. that partenerd with a strong, unified defence and our squad looks daunting for any squad to come up against.

We are also starting to have something that I have not seen at everton for quite a while, depth. looking at the bench now we have reall game changers in the straq, jags, gauye.

Really good to see jelavic really starting to shine, although one slight worry is that he has missed 2 absoloute sitters in as many games. But he has also scored as many so its no more than a niggle.

i wouldn't worry about that....the main thing is he's getting himself into the right positions.......and the thing i'm loving about him, is how cool he is in front of goal. He's not blasting at anything, every time he looks up and places the ball.....he won't score them all, but i'm starting to think we've got a real quality striker here, a £20-30m quality striker......

I have been one of cahill's biggest detractors, but I have to admit it when he is playing well.  I dont know if it's renewed energy from the changes in the attacking end, but he's been playing significantly better.

I think competition for his place has helped sharpen him up, what with Osman starting to kick on and Felli and Gibson all more than able within his position (Well anywhere in the Mid really). We are starting to play some attractive football and that is something that no Evertonian has been able to say for a while.

In my opinion, Cahill has played well when he has played up front with Denis or Jelavic. These two seem to both link up quite well with Tim (especially Jelavic) while Saha would spend most of his time out on the wing.

the problem is he doesent do enough when attacking, if we have a set piece then he is decent but if we are on the counter attack he isnt good enough.

and the other problem is jelavic isnt the fastest, and then you have cahill behind him who isnt quick either.  yesterday the defense played a high line as they had bendner upfront(who is slow as ****)  so the midfielders could be closer to link up with the forwards.  If the RS start with bellamy and suarez upfront, the defense wont be able to step up as high as they normally do,

remember in the 2009 final, we had 2 backs of 4, then cahill and then saha, there was no out ball what so ever.

I believe Cahill is getting back into his stride again and will only get better as the season progresses
