Historically 27th March is not the best of days for Everton, we've played 19 times before and our record is 5-5-9 with 2 of the defeats being in FA Cup Semi-Finals, and DM has yet to record a win on this day.

On the plus side Everton haven't lost to Sunderland since before DM took over, his record being 10-5-0 and 4-3-0 at their place and we haven't failed to score against them since 2001.

I can't see anything less than a good performance getting us past Sunderland in the 90 with only Newcastle, Chelsea, Arsenal & Wigan victorious at the SOL this season and all the the odd goal.

Its the FA Cup QF, we should'nt need much motivation..........especially with the Prize being a Mersey derby Semi-Final @Wembley.

I've gotta say..... I am actually bricking tomorrow night, despite the fact that we've got a lot to be positive about from our performances of late (apart from against RS) but I'm not feeling confident at the moment. Just wish we'd put the tie to bed in the first game. And I hope to hell that we've got some decent officials!

I'm too confident.. We always lose when I have faith in the team.. I can honestly sunderland taking a heavy battering tomorrow.. 1-0.. well we are Everton

I can see it going to ET and Pens....... In which case, I think I would be confident, Timmy's improved so much on saving pens that I honestly think we'd have the advantage in that situation.

I think if we perform like we did against Swansea with the same attitude I can't see why we can't beat them, but it's gunna be tough they've turned a corner sin Oneil took over the boys will need a bit of luck too perhaps with it being at the SOL but we beat Chelsea away from home last season, we can do it for sure!

We have to win, if we don't the season is in tatters.

Plus sunderland have already had a great season, when you look at the managerial casualties this season them being the ones ending up with MON is a huge result.

LOL.......U been doing your homework....................Stats mean nothing though and records are made to be broken so is it a good thing to have a record like this or is it setting us up for a fall......

Moyes has not got the better of martin oneill in his career so sumit has to give

one things for sure....there's gonna be a big difference between swansea on a saturday afternoon and Sunderland on a tuesday cup night.....totally different game, way more pressurised and hostile environment......

5th game in 17 days is ridiculous, but Moyes has rotated as much as possible, so we should be in good shape.......

    First goal will be massive.....

Impossible game to predict, so i ain't gonna bother.......lets just hope the game isn't ruined by a dodgy ref decision

I can see us coming away with the win. Because of 3 things:- 1. semi final =RS the biys will want to destroy them after derby. 2. We have Moyes who needs it more this year than any other (10 years without any silverware) 3. Because I said so lol
I think a nice 2-0 victory for us Nikki and Drenthe (35 yard screamer)
