you cant sack a manager if he wins you a trophy, even if it is only the carling cup. if and its a big if they were to win the fa cup aswell that would be seen as successful season.
it depends which way you look at it, If chelsea finish 5th and with no trophy but liverpool finish 7th but with a trophy you would rather be 7th.

However, if I was a Liverpool fan I would expect a lot more from the team after spending in the excess of £120M in the summer. Also, from the outside looking in I think that Kenny is getting it wrong tactically. I don't understand why he doesn't play Bellamy and Kuyt more often, and I can't understand why he continues to play Jordan Henderson on right midfield.

RedJay said:Yeah, spot on really. Henderson has been ineffectual at right mid all year, but Kenny persists. Kuyt and Maxi should get more game time on the right hand side, while Bellers can only seem to start maybe 1 in 3. Problem is that we haven't had a proper right winger in ages. Henderson's a CM, Kuyt and Bellers are strikers really, Maxi plays left and further infield, Benayoun and Cole played more as CAM, Jovanavic and Babel both converted forwards, Riera was a left winger. So Pennant who left in '09, Garcia left in '07 were the last ones really. El Zhar was technically here til last year if you count him as a player :/ We really need some pace on the wings.
