    What are the possible conitations of teams qualifying?

    Have RS already took 1 europa place?

    If chelski win champs league,arsenil,if 4th,go in europa.

    Do losers of fa cup go in europa if chelsea win champs league?

    How many europa places can epl have?

    Chelsea wont win champ league. Liverpool alreday have europa league place. Top 4 champ league 5th and 6th europa league. If liverpool finish in any of em places it means 7th place will get europa league spot

    Which means we must finish above Newcastle. This was quite possible, until the defeat to Liverpool. To do it now, we will need to go on a mega run, including a point or points at Old Trafford,or get to the final of the FA Cup.

    What about if Everton beat Sunderland and Liverpool and face Spurs or Chelsea in the final.

    Forget about winning the FA CUP for now, would we be in the Europa league if in the final against Spurs who are(assuming they still are) in the CL by league position?

    I imagine if Chelsea finish in fifth and they win the FA Cup then the Eurpoa cup position for finishing 5th would go to the next team down in the league (probably Newcaslte) if Chelsea finished 5th.
     
    Moyes is clearing going all out for the FA Cup, I just wonder what the chances are of us getting into the Eurpoa purely by getting to the final.

    I'm not sure on the rules but I thought it was one place in Europe for each of the cups, and one via the league behind the cl places.

    Liverpool aren't going to finish in the cl places, or the europa spot by the looks of things and have won the
    Carling cup.

    So right now Iit looks like Chelsea and Newcaslte are fighting for the league europa slot and liverpool have their place via the carling cup.
     
    So for us I'm thinking that our best chance is either to win the FA Cup or be in the final with a Spurs (if they keep their cl place) as I think we might get it by that way regardless. Which might also apply to Chelsea too but, and I could be wrong here, if they are in the europa by winning the cup and then finish in the europa position in the league then that extra place would drop down to the next league side.... which will probably be Newcastle.

    Again, I'm probably wrong here as I'm very unsure of the rules, but I'm thinking that getting to the FA Cup final against a cl place finishing Spurs gets us into Europe. If its Chelsea then we need to win the the FA Cup.

    But I'm sure we can all think about that once we've seen Sunderland off, and then the RS!

    I'm not at all sure why it would work out that way but I think that if you're in the final of any cup against cl quality opposition then you get the europa place available via the cup competition regardless of the result.

    But if Chelsea win the FA Cup then they get the Europa league birth via that route. If they also qualify for the europa league via the league position then the league placed birth drops down the league to the next place (assuming thats not liverpool, in which case it would drop down again).

    Again, a large amount of that might well be utter twaddle...

    To be honest I hope it is too and we get in if we made the final against any side other than bolton.

    That said, the league go nuts and newcastle could hunt down chelsea!

    lol, I can't remember why but I seem to remember somewhere that being in a cl place and getting a europa league place via a domestic cup doesn't have the same result as winning a europa cup place after getting a europe cup slot via the league, in terms of the side who played with them in the domestic cup final.

    Hope I'm wrong though...

    I think if we win every game from now til the end of the season we will win the fa cup and finish about the RS and we will all be happy :)

    We are certainly on one of those mate.. we needed to be get anywhere near the euro places..
    2 defeats in 13 is defo a mega run imo and if we carry on I think we can do both the barcodes and the RS.
