pienaar was quality first half and for the second half they doubled him up every time he got near the ball....so they obviously thought he posed a threat !!

doesnt help when the balance and momentum of the whole team went out the window. He couldnt single handidly beat them. Anichebe should never play for us again how many chances does he need hes ****. Velios is by far better than him. Just hope we recover in time for the replay. Otherwise moyes has put needless pressure on himself

I would much rather have Pienaar in the team than Coleman or Drenthe.

Drenthe cost a pen on saturday.  He keeps going down like a fly, that the ref does not give him free kicks or pens.

With Pienaar the majority of the time we are a better team. He wasnt shocking against RS he just wasnt as effective as he can be. It was more down the fact we didnt have our strongest side as a unit on the field.

    Agreed.

ffs sambo....you've got a downer on Pienaar to the same extent that you'd take one forcefully up the rear from Balotelli.

That much is plain to see, but there should be some form of decency limit involved. And agreeing with tickets is surely the wrong side of that limit?

I think Pienaar has been decent mate since he came back, i just dont think he had a good game in the derby tbh. But every footballer has bad games, doesnt make them bad players. Hopefully his good form will continue to the end of the season :)

Yes we missed him Saturday, he makes things happen.  We missed a creative player Sat, Osman too slow and was very poor and Drenthe spent the game falling over.

You always seem to be a bit down on him though in fairness.

But no, he didn't have a good game in the derby. Although given the changes and the performance I'm not sure anyone did. He was given a lot to do, and not a lot of support to do it with. Still, that is what happens when your on loan and cup tied and we've got a lot of fixtures around a cup game.

Sometimes its probably how it comes across on here mate, because ive made my opinions clear about Pienaar that have been negative, because its in black and white, any time i then make a comment about that him people will maybe just take it along the lines of my original feelings about the player.

I agree though mate, nobody stood out in the derby, i, like tickets seemed to notice Pienaar had a bad game over most of the other players, but that is probably because i notice him more cos i was dubious about him coming back to start with :)

Well, like a lot of players, everyone has their own views on them and often for silly reasons. I do.

To be honest though, as others have said, it wasn't just the fringe players it was like he used the game bring back some recently injured players too. Looked to me like he was given an impossible job, but none of the players reacted well to Moyes selection.

As said elsewhere, I can understand why Moyes did it and agree in the main part. But I do think it was a mistake to rest so many players, not just for the fans but also the team that took to the field.... I think he lost them too for that game.

Yes. Like they were the after thought for the game. It demotivated them imo.
