August 2011 problem is then next season we wont get as much money for our top players.

Currently we have 5 players in our team that could fetch 10m or over (on paper anyway)
jags, arteta, fellaini, rodwell and baines..

Next summer jags and arteta turn 30 so its safe to say they will both be here for the next few seasons as no team will ever pay big money for a 30 year old. the problem then the resale value is so low we will find it hard to replace them

the sell before you buy policy only works if you have decent players to sell.

So the question has to be asked, in 2 years time if we continue to stick with the same team and when most of our best players are well into their 30's, and moyes contract expires and leaves. WTF are we going to do then
were going to have to bring in loads of players and no money to do it with.

Baines, Rodwell, Barkley, Fellaini, Coleman - all players who'll be worth a fe bob in 2 years!

Plus others like Forshaw, Hope, Duffy, Gueye, Vellios, silva, Mustafi, Wallace, McAleny, Bidwell, Garbutt, Lundstram - there's a decent chance there'll be a couple in that list who'll emerge to be at least very decent Premier League standard players in the meantime.

And for the umpteenth time, you're guessing that Moyes will leave in 2 years!

This is a stupid argument, completely floored.

If their value is going to drop so dramatically in teh next 12 months, this must be down to how well they are going to be able to perform.

So surely, if they will not be able to perform so well in 12 months time, no one is going to want to spend large amounts on them now.


Sell to buy only needs to work if you really have to buy.


Surely Seamus and Ross will increase in value, as will many of those not listed in your magical 5.

nope as soon as a player hits 30 their value drops.
we have seen some massive fees paid for players int heir peak who are 28, as soon as players hit 30 their value drops significantly.

coleman and barkley possibly in the future, but 2 years time is too soon.

come on, most of those youngsters will be shown the back door soon enough,

Baines will always be priced out of a move, your looking at 25m mimimum and no one is going to pay that.
rodwell- this guy hasnt got many chances left if he wants a big money move, and it appears to me that barkley has moved ahead of him
barkley-Moyes said he wants to ease him in, so he could suffer the same fate rodwell has, a few years down the line still a banch player
fellaini- if he doeent sign may leave for half he is worth.
coleman- dont think he will be anything special, a decent premier league player, and If he goes back to RB, anything could happen to him.
