Tim Cahill excellent yesterday.

I thought Tim was brilliant yesterday, hustled the Spurs players from the first minute to the 95th! Never gave them a moment to settle. Looks like we are going to have to get used to a new role for Tim, Everton legend.

to be honest cahill is there to score goals hes taking an attacking position from another player and hes not doing it, we got plenty of players to battle and hassle teams , we need a player behind the striker who can make a difference going forward, sadly tim isnt the attacking threat he was, would sooner see someone like barkley or drenthe behind the striker to give us a lot more of a threat, not slagging cahill hes just getting on a little now and would be a great impact sub, time to give someone else a go in that position, tim is a legend tho one of our best ever signings.

100% agree. Straq would have done the same hassling work but also offer more by holding it up and going forward. Cahill is an Everton Great and doesn't deserve stick but do feel he doesnt offer us anything. Would like to see Drenthe tried there with Barkley also getting some game time there but wouldm't be disappointed to see Straq and Jelavic given a chance together (only if we have Ossie playing in the middle with Felliani)

Earlier in the season I thought he was doing ok without scoring, but now he just seems pretty annonymous in games now. I'd forgot he was still on the pitch watching the game last night. I really think the team and himself would benefit from him being taken out the team for a while and being used as an impact sub because he just isn't adding anything to our attacking play right now.

He is one of the best servants this club has ever had mabe he's lost a couple of yards but he's still got a big heart.

Don't get me wrong I think Tim can be used a certain way, but against Spurs he looked slow and in the second half looked tired. He can't be questioned about his passion and effort but he should have been subbed and everyone round me was of the same opinion.

    Tim needs to re-focus.

And Moyes needs to bench for a while.

Why take drenthe off yesterday when he was terrorising Ekotto who was on a yellow, should have taken timmy off and pushed Osman forward IMO.

Felt Tim offered very little yessterday

I can not see how any1 thought Cahill had a good game yesterday, the rest of the team are carrying him and neville. Having said that we won the game so technically Moyes got his tactics spot on. I think for next season he should be a squad player at best. It is not nice to see the decline in him but thats football.

His performance wasn't excellent but his work rate certainly was.

I agree with most of the posts here(even kjis international statement), Tim isn't the player he was and its sad to see but Dave needs to start putting him on the bench and give him the odd twenty minutes here and there.

He has been great for this club but unfortunately players get older if he goes next season or the one after he will always be a legend and one of the best finds ever.

The OP must of been smoking crack.... Timmy was cack, simples!

He is no longer an influence in the games.

Straq should of been on in his place, would of been far more effective.

Proud of his international record, couldn't have done it any other way.

And he knows what to do if he's in the squad on tuesday! COYB.
