everton trust

If any of you are serious about starting a transfer trust then we would have to hold a face to face meeting about starting it up. over network site wont do anything. it must be about how it will function and how the money will be handed over. not about players who need to go before the money is handed over or anything else like that. the trust will be started and all money collected in an account. everton legends will be invited to be involved as a go between between us and the club, they also hold the power to make other supporters to get involved. any other issues can be brought up at the first meeting. if you are truly interested in saving our club then come back to me with possible meeting times and places.. Cheers. i will do it with or without you.

I'm in too mate, anything that helps the club.....it can be a bit like 'save the children' or the 'world wildlife fund' etc, pay 3,4,5 quid a month etc, any reason why we couldnt do it?? as long as all money goes on transfers thats the important thing :)

I won't attend any meetings. But I'd pay my share - as long as it all looks above board....as I'm sure it would!

85,000 people paying a tenner a month for 1 year = £10 Million for Moyesey.

That's the only realistic thing to do that would make any difference.

But I don't know if finding 85,000 people willing to do that is realistic though - and if 4 Evertonians live in one house, does that mean contributing £40 per month? Hardly" So you'd actually be looking for 85,000 supporters in 85,000 distinct homes. And what would be the story with the tax on it?

the club would be contacted to seek advice. the money would go into any bank that they advised us using but the club would not have any control over the money at all until a pre arranged date. monthly meetings would be set up to disscuss the growth of the accounts and how to get more people involved. anyone who wants to attend the meetings can or if you choose to just donate to the fund thats fine. monthly e mails will be sent to anyone who wants one to show all details of the fund and how it is progressing.

i'm sure someone on BR Mk2 said that thier mother was Bill's secretary, and she'd been told about a certain transfer that was definitely "happening".

    it didn't happen though.

I think it needs to be fronted by Everton FC, the money is for Everton so the account and legal shizzle could be handled at that end

hahaha how fickle with the name `save our club`, do you seriously believe our club needs saving, i feel like i`m the only sane person on here, youre talking about donating money to a company that generates 80million a year, lets get this in real terms everton are not in trouble, you are all dilusional, even with lower valuations of players the club has assets upto 100million,

sell them all then. or the ones we can get away with, blood the youngsters, pay half or 3/4's of the debt off, we will be in a decent position in 2 years time and almost debt free, job done :)

So you propose the idea that we just sit back, do nothing and watch? No thanks, I'd rather be proactive, and do something about the situation. We all know it's not ideal at the moment, so as Gwladysstreet suggests in another thread, instead of just criticising the club (maybe you're not one of those people, as I know Gwladys isn't either, although he may be, but isn't vocal about it) why not throw the odd quid a week in?

It's pretty risk-free as you're only losing £52 a year out of your pocket to go towards helping the club we love so much.

I reckon if it's looked at properly and managed properly, it could end up being successful, and who knows, down the line, there may be benefits for those involved in the project. What they might be, I don't know, but apart from all this, it also adds further interest in football and the club's affairs, if nothing else.

    Disrespectful and embarrasing.

its something you would expect a conference team to do, not a team in the premier league that has been consistently 5th, 6th and 7th for the past few years.
the reason we are in this mess is because kenright never looked into how we could increase our revenue whereas all of the teams above us did.

what should happen if anything is for the players to take a 10% pay cut, this would save around 6m a year and would still mean the likes of arteta and cahill still earn 67.5k a week and cahill 49.5k a week respectively.

If there was some sort of trust set up the press would look into why the hell do the fans have to pay extra when the club spends no money on transfers and has a full stadium most weeks. they would then look into in detail how it has come to this

we would become the laughing stock of english football.

even the likes of pompey didnt have the nerve to ask their fans for more money becuase they knew it wasnt the fans that ruin everything, ti was the owners.

Howdy, Stranger!
