considering either buying a new car or getting a smaller car to go with my current one.

I have been offered a BMW 3 series 54 plate with 55000 miles on the clock for £3500.

This seemsreasonable but should i be wary

Thats what i thought to be honest.

Whats the best way to get a car checked over.

Supposedly the car has been sitting idle for 10months but will have a new MOT and 6 months tax

Do what I do these days, buy a cheap car with 12 months MOT, ruin it then scrap it then buy another one. They all move from one place to another. Spend a grand on a car and the rest on a holiday or prostitutes or both.

It is the Idle for 10 months bit that worries me.
But it is worth more than 3 and a half grand soresale shouldn't be a problem in a year or so.
12 months mot gives some leeway doesn't it
