Do suspensions not come into effect for 6 or 7 days - or does that only apply to bookings coz of yellow cards? Or does it not apply to anything anymore?

i think it all depends if the club intends to appeal......so i suppose say if we lost fellaini to a red card at anfield...we could maybe appeal and lose him to a 4 game ban after the sunderland game......(which it didn't include the semi final i'd be happy with)
but in most cases now, i think the ban starts straight away, even with a double yellow.......
