Was it me, or maybe i didnt see it, but not one person from Liverpool made any mention of Gary Ablett? This could jsut be me, but, IF we were to win the FA cup this year i would like to think that Gary Ablett and/or Gary Speed would get a mention by somebody from the club?? Or am i being a sentimental old git?

im not sure how relevant it would have been for Liverpool to mention him to be fair... i can only imagine the way we would mention Ablett is for someone doing interviews to say something along the lines of "and is this a fitting tribute to Gary Ablett who was part of the team to last win silverwear for Everton?" to which we answer "yes" which triggers about 50 articles headlined "FA Cup win was for Abblett" you know how the media works... reporters know what headline they want to run with, ask a leading question and then use the quotes to make it look like the player/manager came out with it off their own backs.

or maybe im just a synical grumpy git ;)

    You sentiMENTAL no way.

Nah your right a comment should have been made as GA was a great servant to both clubs. We will sort it out when we win the final as our player server the cause for the club and not themselves.

It would not have been appropriate for them to have mentioned GA. Let's be honest, most of the players are foreigners who will have never met him. To allow it to be turned into "we did it for Gary" would be dishonest at best and deliberately playing on sentiment, and they do enough of that as it is...........
