Basically said he wants Moyes to be his successor.

His actual words were that Moyes was doing a miraculous job and that Man Utd need experience like that.

If that happends it will take the biscuit! I think our aim now is to offer him a new contract to make sure he stays, we cannot affored for him to float off to manchester and leave us stranded, after all he has done miracles with us! If he goes it will be sad and very dark days for Everton fc!!!!

There is no way that Moyes will take over directly from Ferguson. He is nowhere near that level of manager. The only possibility would be if he worked alongside Ferguson for a couple of seasons but to take over and become the next outright manager, no way, not a chance.

your rite, no man is bigger, but he has made us bigger and better and i think we r on the up and things are gunna change for the better, and by keeping Moyes is vital to our future prospects and success!!

It would be hugely difficult to keep him if they approached and with Ferg saying he wanted a role within the club there could be some mileage to mineck's thoughts on hand over time, then again that would undermine his own experience and knowledge and Moyes is definitely his own man.

I can't see it myself look at the youth we have brought in and continue to, I believe that he is building for the future and won't throw it all away especially with the fair play rules just around the corner. He may go to the spuds though he always talks about them with the highest praise whenever we play them?

no he never, he says moyes is one of half a dozen managers doing well at the moment.  he said nothing about Moyes experience or lack of.

people heap praise on moyes for building hard working teams with little resources, but the fact remains he has won nothing and is far from the finished article.  he still has a lot to work on in his game if he ever wants a top management job.

its the outsiders looking in that think he has done well, people that watch him week in week out know what his strengths and weaknesses are, and he is well off getting the job at united.

I really think we're coming to the end of the Moyes era tbh. With Redknapp most likely becoming England manager, Spurs are going to after Moyes and United will have the same thing in mind. If he leaves then so be it, he's worked wonders here but United are one of the world's biggest clubs and Spurs are really progressing and can attract big players.

Who do we replace him with though? I'd personally want Ian Holloway or someone like him.

he wants the united job which is why he has said no to city so many times, but i dont think the owners will have enough money for him to put together a new team.

They had to bring ou sholes out of retirement as they couldnt afford sneider

I can see David Moyes replacing Harry Kneecap @Spurs this Summer .........UNLESS we win the FA Cup or Qualify for Europe.

Maybe Peter Reid will finally become Our Manager IF Moyes ends up at WHL

the problem is if moyes does leave for spurs this summer a lot of our players will use this as an excuse to hand in transfer requests, the like of fellaini, jags even baines.  I dont think they will be happy waiting another 2-3 years for the new manager to put together a team.

The only other thing Fergie said was that he'd remain active at the club after retirement.

OK, you can't just post something like that without explaining the fate of your other one.

    Come on, out with it?

Actually, I seem to remember something like that no that you mention it.

Shame, I was kind of hoping he'd regale us with a horrifying tale of having one bitten off by a tramp during a busy night in A&E.

He said that he'd put Moyes in the top 6 because of what he'd done for Everton.  He didn't say "basically Moyes will be my successor" lol...

Look, nobody knows who's gonna come after Moyes or what his thinking behind it would be or what the players thinking would be.

    All speculation!

I don't believe for a second that Man Utd will approach Moyes - nor do I believe he'd even be Tottenham's #1 target (although that's not to say he wouldn't become #1 target if a couple of others declared themselves uninterested)

Spurs will go for some foreign number who'll waste money, sell a few stars and they'll be back to chasing a european spot via the fair play league quicker that you can say Juande Ramos.

Man United will go for someone used to managing people who cost 40 million plus and for whom 150k a week represents a disappointing drop in salary.
