No one doubts his ability but he hasn't got the best footballing brain. His decision making isn't the best and I don't think he 100% follows the managers instructions. I think that's why he doesn't start as often.

If he had a better footballing brain he would be a really good player, and probably first of the team sheet every week.

Probably yeah. At the moment Drenthe loves running on the ball and taking players on, although this is a good thing he tries it too much and inevitably ends up doing too much instead of doing the simpler and more productive thing (e.g. cross it in).

what is a good footballing brain? sorry cant agree with this. This is what makes people different and therefore hard to handle.  if your footballng brain means not tracking back the I ask you if Maradona or Pele did that with effect.
i cant believe people are complaining that we have a guy with flair. I dont there is comparrison with footballing brain and flair....

go Drenthe mate......im gonna forgive your occassional mishaps for the brilliant attacking football you are giving !!

    right--gotta go to bed

I'm not on about his tracking back I'm on about his decision making quite a few times he's picked the wrong option.

I think he is a good player for Everton but not as a regular starter. For that he has to be more of a team player.

I would be happy to see him sign a permanent deal to be honest.

I reali like his style of play and with a bit of polishing up we would have a very very good player on our hands. He the first player in ages I can remember at goodison that has me on the edge of my seat. He puts urgency and flair in our team. I lost count of the amount of times we got ball and just played side to side with it until otha team had enuf men behind ball to make it impossible to cut thru. With Drenthe wen he gets the ball he goes at opposition and I personally love to see it. I do agree that his decision making can be a bit off but his style is something I have been crying out for. Would reali like him to get a run of games on the right now that landon is gone or I also believe he could play behind striker so that he would not need to track back so much. We could maybe play felli and gibson in centre, pienaar and coleman on flanks and Drenthe behind main striker. Just a thought but im no Moyes.

Hope we sign him and think Moyes can sort out his negative points although there are far more positives but can see the odd breach of disiplin
