    Anyone else spot a trend?……

    5th round draw this year:

The draw starts at the 3:15mins

    6th round draw yesterday:

which ofcourse reminded me of the when we met Liverpool in 2009….draw starts at 2:00 mins……

    total coincidence ofcourse…….

but thats what you want the best teams left at the end.

from a neutral perspective you would want liverpool, everton, spurs and chelsea in the semi finals.

if you want to talk about coincidence, all 7 of our cup games have been at home this season

so we can hardly complain about the draw

i don't want liverpool in the semi finals......i know the FA and the sponsors all want liverpool in the semi finals & the final......

but that yesterday had to be the most convenient draw i've ever seen.......had the draw been officially seeded, thats exactly how it would have worked out........but as i said, its a total coincidence, football draws have never ever been fixed......never ever.....

I was saying this after the 5th round draw. The 8 Prem teams Versus the 8 non-Prem teams! What are the odds of that happening? 64/1? And then the same type of draw yesterday?

How do they fix it though? The numbers clearly relate to the match number from the previos round.

Plus there's a bit of a contradiction in that, if they fix it for all the top clubs to play each other in the latter stages, why did Man Utd draw both Man City and Liverpool in the early rounds?

Its just a sample space problem lads, we don't spot near coincedences and our brains are hardwired to spot patterns, a few years ago there was a study into why so many Israeli fighter pilots had a child of a particular sex, it was something like 85% of all babies born to Israeli fighter pilots were of one sex, this was seen as suggesting that there was something peculiar about the pilots as we would not expect such a predominance of a single sex. It was of course just coincedence and there is nothing inherent to Israeli fighter pilots that would cause such an imbalance in the sex of their offspring, we noticed because of the coincedence.

Well my guess is they don't fix the early rounds, because they feel there's less chance of the bigger clubs drawing each other (which obviously hasn't worked out for them this year)......but its very sus how things have now worked out in the past 2 draws.....I've no idea how they do it, but i know they're doing something, its just too convenient the way things have worked out....if you remember in 2009 when we beat liverpool along the way to the final, the 4 teams in the semi finals were Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal & us...had we not beat liverpool, the 4 semi finalists would have been the Sky 4 of the time........
