"Once a blue always a blue" Nice to see the lad back. Got to see a bit of our new Rooney. Pity Barkley didn't get more match time though. Lets keep this run going. Darron Gibson is our lucky charm. Keep him playing and we won't lose.

He is a fantastic player, and he made the right decision to leave us for a bigger club. He is still an Everton fan so I have absolutely nothing against him.

Think about it in a different situation than football. You join a local firm who your Dad, Grandad and as far back as you can remember have worked for or havea love for. You get the start, impress and others start to notice. A blue chip company take notice of your achievements and offer you a start. After considering you move and fulfill your potential. All seems great till you rub your former workmates noses in it. You celebrate in your new found success even at your former mates expense.
**** HIM AND ALL BELONGING TO HIM. NO LOYALTY NONE AT ALL. SCREWED UNITED FOR A PAY RISE THE LAD IS A PIKEY.

    You drunk tonight mate??

    Crap analogy in all fairness.

Who in football has any loyalty nowadays?? A small percentage maybe, and that would possibly be 1%. If people dont get attached to players, there is no problem when they move on. I just take thm all as being mercenaries and good on them if they think the grass is greener. No point holding grudges.

Easy cop out, drunk my ****, as if you even know me. The lad was 18 when he left ,showed **** all loyality to a team he supported as a boy. Joined the League leaders and when he got bored, orcastrated a massive pay rise to keep him there. **** HIM I say and dont ever try to second guess another posters situation because of their passion. Not everyone has as much free time as you to devote to the Blueroom

Its a poor analogy mate, however much time you have to devote to the blueroom.

Your entitled to your opinion fella, however, if you were earning 40k a week, and you were offered 80k a week to join a team that is winning trophies, its a bit of a no brainer really.

And im not second guessing your situation, you seem angry, and a little incoherent, hence me asking if you were drunk.

This has always been the problem. Most of us would have played for free and it would have been an honour to do so. Rooney had it all and would still have been a very wealthy lad playing for the club he loved. Ffs he may even have won a trophy or two. His name would have gone down in Everton history. Personally I would like to see him come home, but he blew a chance of creating a bit of history.........

I dislike Rooney for leaving Everton, but applaud him for his tough bargaining stance with manure. Screw them.

PS Cheer up Galway- we won! If you want a laugh, have a look at what I typed under the Daily Telegraph's report on the Norwich game.

Wow, holyer and nobler than thou. Seriously are you saying that if you were a talented young man in a company, and then poached by another far more successful company offering you riches and success, you wouldnt go ? maybe because your Dad and Grandad worked for the same company as you?
Then the new company your with is doing badly selling all their best workers, but dont offer you any rewards for staying, you wouldnt go in to the Managing director and demand answers, and say well if you want me to stay then pay me better ?
Well what can i say, you really are a loyal person and proud, ffs you wouldnt go far in life though would you. Sad if you lack ambition really, but there we are, were all made different arent we......

Poor analogy my ****, felt like I called it as it was. If somebody knows the lead up to Rooneys departure then please explain. Listen my man/woman good luck to you and your views you seem to feel confident through constant contributions to a forumn and if so good luck.
I answered a thread concerning a former player, in fact I gave my opinion on two, but you seem to have gone camanche on this one. Let me explain facts on bothh threads ROONEY IS A **** and ARTETA IS LEGEND. If youdont get that well thats your look out

Look Rooney left to improve himself and earn a lot more money. He could have just stayed away and said nothing about Everton, but fair play to the lad he still has let it be known he still loves the club. He can't go to over the top or MU would kick off as they pay his wages.

The Man U fans probably think Rooney is a legend. And the Arsenal fans probably think Arteta isnt.

The analogy of a company and pay etc doesn't work. This is football not just a job. For supporters it sticks with you for your whole life, there's no way out of it. To betray your club is probably the worst thing that you can do, and that's what he did, end of.

I'm not sure he is belittling Everton GBN, his little lad as being guided down the blue path, and he still supports Everton, he just made a work decision with his career and its his perogative to do that.

Staggering, but its your opinion, and im not going to argue with you. Its just not my opinion, have to say i think i might rejoice in his situation when you hear the vitriol that comes towards him in a match at GP, and by vitriol i mean vicious, disgusting and totally uneducated vitriol. As i say thats my opinion, obviously not yours.....
