I understood it when there were not Transfer windows but players are not moving in january because a club is in the 4th or 5th round of the cup.
With Transfer windows players are committed for a set period and therefore should not be stopped. It is the same with suspensions, why can someone miss out on the final because the were booked in the league the week before yet if you get sent off in the semis you will probably still be available for the final.
FA need to catch up with the times. -
