That watch was £78 on British Airways in flight duty free about six years ago, bought one because I realised that I had left my watch at home on a flight.

Why on earth would anyone be impressed by someone buying a cheap airline watch ? was simply adding a factual remark.

They are the sort of watch a wife would buy you to make you think she had spent some money on you when in actual fact, she got it dirt cheap from a rubbish jewellers. Funnily enough, I have one knocking around somewhere. They have cheap quartz movements in, any money you do pay is for that little gay logo.

Because nobody actually buys a replacement for something, simply because the other was left at home by mistake.

Its different if you wanted it, but when you hinted for something with a light and 2 alarms, its hard not to be disappointed. (Feel like a right **** now).
