Anyone know what the situation is with Yakubu? Is he being left to rot in the reserves? Seems a shame if he is. I'm losing faith in the ability of the powers that be who are supposedly bettering our beloved club.

Moyes sid we lacked a cutting edge up front on saturday yet the Yak was left out of the squad

Poor management and not for the first time.

I agree with both of you. Problems should be sorted out asap. Poor management. I'm sure I've heard Moyes state there is nobody bigger than Everton FC. Surely that includes Moyes?

Its clear Everton want to sell the player and that the player would like a move.

Given that he's only really been linked with championship sides, or from teams in lesser leagues abroad. You can understand Yakubu, on the money he is, not being all that keen to be in a hurry (is he ever?) and would rather wait and see if a better offer comes along.

You can also understand Moyes having long ago made the decision to sell the player, and very much needing all the transfer funds he can lay his hands on, being keen not to let the player get injured before the window closes or to be sold to Leicester for peanuts either.

Yes, but he hasn't sold him, the yak hasn't boycotted training and WE need a striker who can score goals. Why play him in preseason? Play him now, get him in the shop window and sell in in jan after he's bagged 10 goals...

Maybe he put him in the shop window pre season... but as the window is close to closing he doesn't want to risk not selling him.

People know we are skint, but Yakubu is worth more than we've been offered.

West Ham offered 6 mill yet Moyes In his wisdom tried holding out for more.

Similar with Yobo now we had an offer that would have got him off the wage bill yet we turned it down.

We will now probably accept a lower offer after paying him 4 months wages that was unneeded.

Great Business no wonder we're skint

More than we've been offered...whatever happened the law of supply and demand?

    Just thinking,he cost us £11.5mill....wage? let's say £40,000pw =£2mill x 4yrs =£8mill.
So,that "investment" cost EFC £20mill min less whatever he is "worth".Not great business is it?
