Dislocated my knee playin in my 5-a-side team last night. Can honestly say it was the most pain I've ever felt in my life.

Anyone else had a similar injury?

Broke my metatarsil at college playing football. Walked up a bitch of a hill the next morning then had a doc cut my new Levi 501's up to the knee. Could have killed the doc first and my Mum second for always telling me to dress in your best when going to see a doctor. Broke my collar bone, finger and dislocated shoulder playing football aswell. Wont be able to **** or kick with arthritis in years to come.

I fractured my wrist whilst doing an overhead kick on astro turf. Hit the ball quite sweet as well but I landed funny on hand and fecked my wrist up. That's going back about 5 or 6 years though.

Hi pal, yeah had three dislocations on my left knee, very very painful!! All i could say is take you physio seriously when your fit enough to do it as otherwise you ligament's will be to weak and over stretched giving you future problems, next comes Cortisone injections!!

Cheers mate. The morphine was brilliant like. I'll find out Monday morning how long I need this splint on. Off work for a while as well so can't really complain. How long you guys reckon till I'll be able to place footy again?

Depends really pal, you could get back after 6 weeks, but more than likely 12 weeks. After 6 you'll have some muscle waste and will need to work on that to build the knee muscle's back up before you play a competitive game again.

I would say get some Physio bands

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-Metre-Exercise-Resistance-Band-Physio-Yoga-Pilates-/160674412307?pt=UK_Sporting_Goods_Exercise_Fitness_Fitness_Accessories_ET&var=&hash=item6b1c60ed10

Start at the lower resistance, there all different based on colour. All you do is stand on one side with your good leg and take the strain with the other. Really good for building knee muscule. When you are happy hop on one leg, the bad leg for about 25 metres, twisting direction, then do a fitness test on a running machine (about 1.5 miles, the time you set yourself should be based on you own fitness). I use this table:-

    Age Time (mins)
    Male
    16-24 11.13
    25-29 11.38
    30-34 12.08
    35-39 12.34
    40-44 13.02
    45-49 13.34
    50-54 14.02
    55-59 14.3
    Female
    16-24 13.15
    25-29 13.5
    30-34 14.28
    35-39 15.09
    40-44 15.52
    45-49 16.41
    50-54 17.15
    55-59 17.57

This will esure that your knee is fully recovered DONT DO THIS UNITL YOU ARE SURE YOUR KNEE HAS THE MUSCLE BACK.

Before anyone says, no that isnt my Ebay account lol Im not sellig my own product and ive never bought them from that Ebayer Lol
