    I blame the RS fan who TC was obviously posting about.


    So directly or indirectly, TC, has opened up another debate that's focused on a 'troll fan' to the forum. So his post, which was i believe intended for us all to start ignoring any 'troll fans' posts, has now opened up another debate that is 'indeed' (did you like that bit?lol) begun focusing on the RS trolls that post on our forum. SO the intended topic of this debate has now back fired, and we are back to where we were before TC took his time to post this thread.

    De ja vu anyone??

    It's unfair to say that the topic of this debate has backfired.

    Neither I nor the thread topic can be blamed for OGV getting his knickers in a twist about people having the audacity to be pleased to see such 'old school' members like DrVodka and Ozzwaldo show up recently and distract us all from OGV and his perilous mission to save the webteam from themselves and the ultimate destruction of the BR.

    Personally TC, if they want to come on the forum and stir up a debate, surely its a good thing??

    For example, you see people on here in a different light when there is a troll about. You see their passion to defend what is their own, when they defend the team. I personally see that as a positive, even if its in a some what round about kind of way.

    If we stop them from posting, surely this is taking away people's freedom of speech? We should all be entitled to offer our opinion and give our views on subjects whatever they may be and from wherever they may be from.

    back on topic.

    Its a subject that has split the BR for a very long time.

    We even have a pet RS for a few years too and people weren't that fond that either. Although to be fair, I quite liked him even if I would ban RS wind ups.

    When we finished fourth, this place was completely full of that sort of thing and it got pretty nasty and was closed down

    As tony says, its a sign of things being on the up, even if only slightly so.

    Agreed, and the banter was good too. Although there were some that did not like it.

    Its always been a difficult one to draw a line thought where they should and should not be allowed to post. I think fans of other clubs should be welcome but any who have clearly only registered to post wind ups under usernames like SteveGLaa or for example SISSOKO should be banned on sight.

    The latest gaggle of BR'ers seem to take the view that anyone should be free to roam as they please and that the arguments will show passion for the club. Although I suspect they didn't see the forum when SISSOKO was on here, or the place full of pictures of the heysal dead

    You've ignored the content and the context of the thread and taken it, bizarrely, as a personal attack on your work with the webteam

    You took it upon yourself to tell other how to deal with a RS WUM. You followed that up by mentioning that said WUM had been racist and that Russ hadn't picked this up. So, from my perspective you were critical of the moderation of the forum and I suggested that you could direct your energies towards the club. You then decided that I was being pompous and that it was all about my own efforts; and pointed out that others have done much more than me and that in some way my comments were critical of those who have put in a lot of effort in the past. I cannot see how you have interpreted my words in this manner.

    moaned about people who 'reminisce' and mention the forum before you turned up as 'talking about the good old days' and being to 'long in the tooth'. 

    I haven't moaned about "people". I pointed out that YOU appear to be attached to the past, so far as this forum goes; and I questioned why you come on here when you appear to be so fixated on what has been - obviously that's your choice. As for "mention the forum before you turned up as "talking about the good old days", well for your information I have been a member of this forum and posted on here since I moved to Birmingham in 2000, so I think you're confused. "Long in the tooth"? A flippant comment, a joke if you like. It appears to wind you up so I used it.

    When this has been pointed out to you you've reacted by saying that I'm being sensitive and suggested that I've got the wrong end of the stick regarding your comments. 

    Well, you do appear to be a bit sensitive, but lets say your not, its obviously affected you else you wouldn't mention it now. Banter.

    Its was a thread about RS trolls.....now its a thread all about you, which you just can't seem to leave alone even though you've just posted that you don't have the time or inclination to bother with it. 

    Its not a thread about me.  I made a comment about what YOU could do and you decided that I have a bee in me bonnet about the work I'm doing with the webteam.. quite why, I have no idea. 

    As for time or inclination, I said that in response to your comment about me wanting to be a mod.  I will repeat and pad out for your ease of reference, I have no time nor inclination to be a moderator.

    No doubt some more sanctimonious drivel on its way... and misquoting/misinterpreting. I'm glad I don't pay your wages.

    It means that you've just demonstrated my point for me by posting that whole load of knicker twisted drivel in response to a post about RS trolls.

    You've repeatedly whined like a stuck pig through out this thread despite the OP managing to get the thread back onto the topic it was started for.

    Either enter to discussion on RS trolls....or start another thread on yourself and the work your doing with the webteam and how much better this people would be if certain people would stop posting.

    Its how forums work and reason thread titles exist. I might even post in it if I feel I've anything constructive to add to it.

    Of your own choosing you've taken offence at it on ground of the work your doing with the webteam.

    You've whined constantly through out it even inspite of others in the thread trying to get it on track.

    You use phrases like 'knock you down a peg or two' and about how 'you are glad you don't pay my wages' and 'who do you think they are' making it abundantly clear whose ego is the real problem here.

    Apparently I don't have enough posts OGV's eye to start a thread debating my views on WUMs on free forum.

    And to top it off...once you've finished saying about how it isn't about you or the work your doing with the webteam and its all about me and the posts I dare make (?).....you finish by requesting that I give feedback to the webteam or stop posting.

    The question really is who do the you think you are.

    I'm sorry I belittled your forum and the work you are doing towards making it better, honestly didn't know it was yours and had the audacity to think I could start a thread on any subject I pleased.

    Thinks I'm bother about it, but in fact when you read back any post where you're at a low ebb, your more than likely going to cringe! Thing is, reckon buttercups on to summit - if yer take an old post and edit your comments you can make a decent comedy sketch out of other peoples responses!
