Who reckons Moyes..

Will be tempted to start with a 4 4 2? With Jelavic rearing to get make his premier league name and Straq being a true fighter I reckon Moyes will see the 2 to perfectly lead the line against Wigan who havn't had the best luck this season.

Could be a test run to how we could line up until the summer and a head of the chelsea game where Moyes will undoubtedly play a defensive side.

Would be interesting if he did decide to play it that way and we could possibly see a promising front line that between them have scored a lot of goals in their previous leagues

well really he should , felliani and gibson shouldnt need any help in centre, piennar and donavon both decent defensively so should be strong enough in midfield, but cant really see him dropping cahill altho cahill should be used a little more sparringly now save his legs a little, hope duffy gets back in , i know hibbert did well but duffy should get his place back imo

paid a lot of money to get him, whats the point of easing him into the team.  He is 26 years old and should be ready to play straight away,

i dont know any other teams in the prem that would ease him in.  we need a goal scorer he is a goal scorer so play him.

lm thinking if we play Pienaar from the start then Drenthe may feel a little disheartened about being dropped for a new player.

drenthes a liability, he could of got sent off against city, and he looks like this every game.

i dont think moyes has got the patience with him to sign him up.

and drenthe often starts on the bench anyway.

the fans want to see what sort of player he is and if he can handle playing in this league, which should become apparent in 3 or 4 games.

i agree.....there's an FA cup there for the taking this season.....get Jelavic in the team straight away and lets see if he can bang in a few goals.....can't ask for a nicer start to his Everton career than Wigan.....

Straq is one of the hardest working strikers I've seen in years, he's strong can link play well and can score

Moyes will start with same 11 that beat city. How can you beat top of league with our hardest working performance of the season and then drop anyone of them for the next game. Expect to see jelavic and pienaar off the bench

Are you mad? how can you judge a player who had been given 5 mins at the end of a game and harshly judge him

he started the west brom game, and not all of his sub appreacnes were 5 mins.

he has played well for 2 games granted, but lets see if he keeps it up.

its a bit rash saying he is the hardest working striker you have seen in years based on 2 performances.

I really think the manager should play Straq & Jel in a 4-4-2 to see how they play together and against Wigan this could be an easy Day away. COYB!

because its horses for course, vs city you need passion and hard work, it doesnt always work vs teams fighting relegation its not enough, you need quality to beat these sides as well.

TBF tickets, Steve round said that in the last couple of weeks it is starting to dawn on him what is expected and he is starting to learn the Everton way, think this is why we have seen improvement. The last 2 games you cant knock his touch, work rate, his intelligence when holding the ball up and bringing others into play.

Before Royle took charge, Ferguson was going knowhere, then Royle came in, he scored the winner in the derby, and the rest is history. I'm not saying he will be another Ferguson, but PERHAPS, things are clicking into place with him.

Yes of course and the fact is the 11 who played on tuesday are more talented that any wigan 11. No one should be dropped as it was a winning team performance. The players deserve to play again for the result earned. If its not working bring players on at half time

Well for the first time in a while we actually have options. The team is no longer predictable in any area except in net and left back. Every where else we can chop and change with some ease.

It's no coincidence that big dunc starts working closer with straq and he starts to work harder! No better person than fertile to pass on his knowledge!

It's never easy for a new player to the league to compete straight away but he is certainly doing the right things now, I agree that it would be good to see straq and Jel together but will have to see what moves plans are.
