Michael O'Leary is the master of free advertisement - and that's exactly what suggesting stuff like standing on flights and paying to use the bog is all about. Neiter would ever be allowed and he knows it. But it gets him into newspapers and onto radio talk shows regurarly to brag about how great Ryanair are.

This guy has done the same for him - and O'Leary is absolutely loving it!

I dont give a flying **** about ryanair. that nobber affected our club and peoples views of it. hanging would be too good.

Note to self- Remember never to use OGV's law firm, seems to be an advocate of rather severe punishments.

    -----------------

Escla - i.e. a Tory -  going soft on crime?! Well I never thought I'd see the day! ;)

    -----------------

No not going soft Andy, just think that things like hanging should be reserved for real criminals like Blair and Brown, I am quite content now that Labour have a silly little unelectable school boy in charge, looking forward to 20 year Tory rule !
(it will take at least five to sort out the sh1it house that your lot left behind)

    -----------------

Oh dear, the only criminals are the Tory party I'm afraid, and there is a huge mess being made right now with the benefits situation, the bankers situation, the class divide is becoming bigger. Still...... Lets not start arguing again, I'm enjoying the peace at the moment......

I think the reason it was done at Goodison rather than at Liverpool v City (which would have had more UK/Ireland viewers due to it being on a more widely available station) was because Michael O'Leary was in attendance at the game at Goodison

only problem with his plan was:
    1. Nobody in the ground knew what he was protesting about (i'm sure everyone presumed he was protesting against Bill & the board)
    2. Michael O'Leary doesn't give a flying f*ck......

You'd think he'd have worn a Ryanair cape or something to make it a bit more obvious.....

Me and the lad are flying Ryanair to Dusseldorfin a few weeks. Cost me 50 notes return for both of us. Next best price I could find was over 300 notes. Considering its only an hour or so, I think the discomfort is worth the sacrifice. Have had Barcelona for a tenner, Palma for similar in the past. Yes its a bit scruffy, yes its uncomfortable but you for the money you can't complain. TBH if the staff are stupid enough to work for peanuts, its their problem.

You could have gone Air Berlin or Easyjet for £70 and landed in a proper airport in Dusseldorf instead of an airstrip 50 miles away, hope you are hiring a car because no public transport direct link.

Agreeing with SC again, on the price issue but not the stupid employees comment, a naivity of the nasty world being exploited by a scumbag like oleary is not something we should ignore. I have on occasion used ryanair, because they are the only provider of a particular route but I would not use them if there was a choice.

Not from a nearby airport I couldn't, at least I couldn't find a decent price at the time. Getting picked up over there so not too bothered where airport is. Hate flying, don't care who with or where to, its the worst form of transport by a mile. Always have to sit next to a mental, never fail. Once spent half an hour sat in the toilet just to get away from the Jimmy Saville lookalike in the next seat.
