He was fantastic last night. Yes, he had a few moments of error, but with more consistent games, he will improve and learn what not to do.

He went on a good run that set up the cross for Gibson's goal, and when we lost the ball, he was there with his pace within a second to pressure the City player who had it.

you lot dont know anything, when your team beats the best team in the league you cant say anyone hasnt played well, you usually do this with neville and hibbert, so i stick up for them i`m sticking up for drenth

On the odd occasion you do make sense, you make some very good points, this being one.

We have just beaten the richest club in the world and the team that is top of the league. The team they played tonight must have been worth about £150M while ours was probably worth about £30M. There were so many positives to take from last night, so why have a go at Drenthe? All of those lads deserve credit for a battling performance and a great result.

In the past 2-3 seasons, we have seen the apparent demotivation and eventual departure- cheaply- of Pienaar, Yakubu, Arteta, Bilyaletdinov and Saha- all attacking players with flair. Alright, I know Pienaar's back, but I won't let that fact pierce the clouds of my judgment.

Already, Drenthe's initial eagerness to impress seems to be turning to desperation- losing possession, reckless fouls. I think he is potentially superior to all of the above players. He is the rare Everton player who can break up a defence with a fast dribble, which is what we need against park-the-bus sides (Wigan?). They know all about our crosses from the wing, and prepare well for them.

Roy just seems to lack a bit of careful, patient coaching. Please Mr. Moyes, don't let this one slip away.

I don't, have never and will more than likely never like Drenthe, he rattles my cage. I will become bald by ragging my own hair out before I even begin to enjoy watching him play in our team

I don't know what makes people think Drenthe won't have far more appealing offers in the Summer than staying here to be a bench player most of the time!

Roystons a great player, a fast, explosive, creative talent who isn't afraid of having a go. Yes he makes mistakes, alot of mistakes but if you consider the portion of our goals he has been involved in and when he hasn't had as much game time as others it is wise to keep. I seem to recall a young Nani who in his early days at Utd was very similar and dived alot, but after Ronaldo went he recieved more minutes on the pitch. As a result he matured & developed his game; and even thoughi cannot stand him I cannot deny his ability and his influence within the Utd 11.

Drenthe is a class act, explosive and powerfull. The problem is he needs blinker's on! if he is facing his own goal when he collects the ball the he'll run towards his own goal!!
